Ah Sha sat in the magic circle with her knees hugged to her chest, holding a banner emblazoned with a winged tiger, and gazed up at the purple moon in a trance. She had been waiting from day until night, watching the flying boats come and go, and for a few moments, she indeed questioned if the Taoist had died or simply cast her aside.
But as she looked at the clear skies above Thunder Marsh, and the shimmering phantom moon in the firmament, one blue, one purple, casting the earth in a strange, purplish-gray hue, for some reason, her chaotic thoughts calmed.
She wasn't cultivating or reflecting, just blankly staring at the moon, her mind empty, free from thoughts of Granny, Daddy, and Mummy, enjoying the solitude; it wasn't so bad.
