The Nangong Family still knows how to make an entrance, arriving in their invaluable Immortal Palace vehicles. Although the procession was slightly less impressive than the one I saw at Tiantai Mountain, it was still grand with golden towers and vermillion walls, auspicious rainbows spilling forth, and colorful phoenixes soaring. Above the celebratory clouds rested three red-scaled coiling dragons, their necks shackled with chains glinting in gold, presumably for dragging clouds.
In front of the palace gates stood soldiers in gleaming helmets with fiery plumes, celestial horses radiant with divine light, and Heavenly Soldiers at the Foundation Building stage. A cursory glance revealed at least a hundred men, but they brought only a ceremonial guard, mostly easy-to-eat fodder. It seems the Nangong Family really didn't come for battle.
