Fate is not a mere chance encounter, but a destined meeting written in the stars.
In this world, there are no pure coincidences, only the inevitable outcomes of various coincidences acting in concert.
A simple example is the lord of Mo Zhu Mountain, an old freak in the Divinity Transformation Stage, who wouldn't take any disciples below the Nascent Soul Realm. Would he really care so much about a little disciple under Lady Wangshu's seat that he would specially find a child with decent potential to compensate for one devoured by the Jade Toad Lady?
