Li Fan flew through the rain, fog, and thunderclouds for a while and soon was able to gaze upon a vermilion air platform in the sky, wrapped in a tumult of thunderclouds and fiery twilight.
The architectural style of this palace was just like the Flying Palaces and Pavilions that Immortal Palace consistently ordered from Tiangong Peak. Connected buildings and pavilions, layered eaves, finely carved beams, and painted rafters, all possessed an air of grandeur.
As Li Fan flew closer and the clouds parted like curtains on either side, he fixed his gaze and saw that the platform was thirty zhang above ground, majestically towering as if it were a mountain. There were five-story buildings adorned with red copper and vermilion lacquer that glistened under the first light of the day. There were also two zhang high vermilion bird copper sculptures perched atop the buildings, wings spread as if in flight.
