Xiang Ji wasn't surprised, but he could tell that Wang Zijia had been planning to ask for the materials. He chuckled, "Do you want me to assign you a talisman pen and a spirit-sealing inkstone too?"
"That would be nice since they're not worth much magic money," Wang Zijia answered instinctively. Realizing his mistake, he blushed and lowered his head.
"You scamp, the old hands in the warehouse have spoiled you rotten," Xiang Ji responded with a mixture of amusement and annoyance. "Fine, you can go get a spell book from Liu Xiangying. I'll have to check about the other two."
A smile spread across Wang Zijia's face, "Thanks a lot, boss!"
"Don't get your hopes up too high. A first-grade magic weapon is definitely out of the question. Maybe there might be some hope for an enchanted talisman pen. I'll probably have to pull some strings. I'll have an answer for you before work is done today."
"That sounds great! I don't mind if they're second hand," responded Wang Zijia.
