Before it could make a move, Gary Smith grabbed it. At the same time, the Thousand-faced Soul Tree Roots in his pocket crept out from under his clothes, silently protruding from his sleeve. As they made contact with the Dragon's Egg, they began to channel the ghastly Breath of the Ghost.
"Suckle...."
The egg's ravenous desires cooled in an instant. The fiery ferocity in its eyes turned clear like those of a baby holding a bottle, happily suckling, absorbing the demon's soul to supplement its own.
Simultaneously, countless dragon's eyes imprinted upon the eggshell shut at once, mirroring the vanishing corner of the ancient Holy City depicted in the illusion as well as the peculiar Dragon's Shadow.
The stagnant air started flowing once again; the sky brightened, and everyone involuntarily exhaled, as if they'd just survived a doomsday scenario.
Gary was deeply disturbed. What kind of egg was this?
It was plainly an egg master!
