By the time Gary Smith brought Little Spider and sulky Mousie back into the real world, it was already in the afternoon.
The intense sunlight came in through the window, forming a beam of light, like a ribbon, floating in the room. If you looked closely, you would see dust particles dancing in the light.
Compared to the bustling life of humans, these particles seemed to be perpetually drifting, traversing mountains and rivers on a grand scale.
They witness the roaring rivers at the peaks of high mountains and the sweeping winds above group of peaks.
Occasionally, they would settle in a common household for months, waiting for a breeze to start their next journey.
Yet in the end, they remain the same.
Watching this scene, Gary felt a calming peace. The tension he had been feeling lately gradually eased. He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, not entering the Dream Prison to train, but just taking a nap, like an ordinary person.
