Gary Smith maintained an attitude of "see no evil," but he hadn't committed any impropriety, so he boldly looked on, only making his footsteps louder to let her know he had arrived.
Ginger Thorn did not stand up but continued to recite the doctrine softly:
"All that the mortal eye sees is sin, all beings suffer pain, through the ages, thorns..."
Not knowing for whom, she was praying devoutly.
Gary Smith also waited quietly, the recitation didn't last long, and soon ended. Ginger Thorn slowly stood up, smoothing out the imprinted pattern on her clothes. Encased in white silk, her delicate jade feet touched the ground.
When she turned around and saw Gary Smith, a smile appeared on her face:
"Please come into the Thorn Prayer Room!"
