Old Du!
He never left!
Yu Liang's cold sweat trickled down in an instant. His back was turned to Old Du, at a loss for words.
What should he say? What explanation could dispel Old Du's doubts?
No, no.
Old Du already harbored irreparable suspicions ever since he saw my unconventional behavior. However, these suspicions were not strong enough to outweigh my value, which is why Old Du merely inquired, his questions confined to inquiries alone.
"I was waiting for the assistant at the visitor center." Yu Liang turned around, looking in Old Du's direction. "I wanted to test the intelligence of the staff here. You said I could consult them for any requests I might have. I wanted to test this limit."
"No need, try to have as less contact with those staff members as possible," Old Du said, "And don't get any ideas about them helping you get out of here. There is no place safer inside the zoo than by my side."
