Once he realized what the layer of white light was, the Confessor began to regret why he had appeared on this battlefield while also starting to doubt the purpose Ze had for suggesting the store to him.

The Confessor didn't understand, but he knew he had to run, or else he would be severely beaten by the guy in front of him.
Facing an opponent with innate damage immunity, unable to rely on physical superiority, and who ignored the rules of the Virtual Space...
Luckily, the opponent was at full health, so he did manage to regain some health points. This rule activation wasn't too much of a loss.
"No, come on Ze, this guy has damage immunity, my attacks aren't effective!" the Confessor shouted for help a second time, even more urgently than the first.
If earlier there was some intention to backstab, now it was purely a call for rescue.
