Yan Hai Sect was Shen City's southern grand entrance in the old city district. Over a century ago, this area used to be one of the busiest districts in Shen City. However, with the expansion of Shen City, over the past few decades, the Yan Hai Sect area gradually fell into decline. Those living around here were the suffering lower class of Shen City and some refugees and vagabonds who came from other places. The area was a mix of all sorts of people, and even though it had fallen on hard times, it was still bustling with activity.
Near the ancient city wall by the Yan Hai Sect was a temple that appeared quite dilapidated.
The temple had no name, but residents living in the vicinity generally liked to call it the Old Temple.
Actually, the Old Temple was not very old; it was constructed nearly a hundred years ago. However, who exactly built this temple remains unknown to this day, just like the deity enshrined within the temple that hardly anyone knows which deity it is.
