Because both sides had cards that were oriented towards defense or had special functionalities, the first round didn't spark any significant clashes.
For the God of Red Envelopes, the Golden Bellmaster was definitely something it didn't want to deal with.
Then, Martial Monkey with its staunch [Defense], couldn't be taken down either.
So the better choice would only be the Sweeping Monk.
However, its final decision was to go full [Defense] with the first row cards, not launching any offense.
Looking back at Ree Shil's side, it was more or less the same, only the Golden Bell Messenger dealt some DPS, and its main purpose was self-inflicted damage.
