"Jingning, prepare well today," Mrs. Jing did say,
As she set the dining table in her meticulous way.
For special guests, she always took the lead,
Ensuring everything was perfect, fulfilling every need.
In the living room, the Jing family did wait,
Including cousin Rong Lan, anticipating their fate.
A knock on the door, Mr. Jing hurried to greet,
The guests arrived, two families did meet.
Unexpectedly, Rong Lan stretched her hand,
Waiting for the youngest Mu son, a gesture planned.
Eyes met, understanding passed in silent glance,
Jingning looked at the handsome man, lost in a trance.
"Time keeps us apart, but the universe aligns,
We promised to meet again, in another lifetime," she pined.
In her mind, she spoke to Mu Chen, her heart's desire,
Their souls connected, rekindling the fire.
Mr. Jing introduced his daughter with pride,
"Mr. Mu, this is Jingning, my joy, my guide.
This is her cousin, and my beloved wife, and Jing-Ning,these are the Mu sons, Mu Xilian and Mu Chen."
After the meal, Jingning sought solace in the garden's embrace,
Xilian followed, a shadow, a familiar face.
They sat on a bench, memories of past lives in their eyes,
"Jingning, we meet again, under these skies."
"Death parted us, but the universe has bring us together ,I promise to protect you in this life, like a brother, through life's fights."
She held his hand, a smile that could melt hearts,
"Brother Mu, I see you as family."
"Aren't you going to talk to Mu Chen?" he asked with care,
"I saw him with Rong Lan, standing over there."she said
"Then go talk to him." Xilian said
She walked to the corridor, calmness in her stride,
Finding them hugging, a stone in her heart, she couldn't hide.
"Rong Lan, may I speak to Mu Chen alone?" she requested,
Rong Lan looked at Mu Chen, then acquiesced.
Jingning smiled, feeling like a princess in a dream,
Finally meeting her love, her heart's gleam.
She was busy starring at him without blinking "Miss, if you have nothing to say, I'm leaving," he spoke,
Confusion in her eyes, her heart nearly broke.
"Don't you remember me, Mu Chen?" she pleaded,
He looked at her coldly, her words unheeded.
"Have we met before?" his voice devoid of warmth,
She held his hands, her heart in a storm.
"Don't tell me you've forgotten our past life,
I'm Jingning, your wife, through joy and strife."
"I thought you'd recognize me, by voice or touch,
But you've changed into a completely different person , it hurts so much.
Let's fall in love again, in every life, every era,
We'll find each other, and we will be at home again."
He gave her a look of disdain, "Jingning, what a tale,
You deserve an Oscar, but your story is frail.
I don't know you, nor have I seen you before,
Stop this nonsense, I implore."
"But..." she began, but he turned away,
Tears streamed down her face, her heart in dismay.
She ran back to the garden, crying in despair,
Xilian offered a handkerchief, showing he cared.
"I'm sorry, Jing, for what Chen did to you,
Don't worry, maybe he doesn't remember, it's true."
She wiped her tears, her heart heavy with pain,
Hoping one day, Mu Chen would remember again.
She looked at him and whispered, "Thank you."
"Let's go back to the living room," he replied, offering a comforting smile.
In the living room, tension filled the air,
Mr. Mu spoke with authority, his voice firm and fair.
"Jingning, Mu Chen, our families have decided,
A marriage alliance, our futures are guided."
"In two weeks, you'll be engaged, a union to announce,
Tomorrow, a press conference, no room to renounce."
Mu Chen's face turned red, anger rising within,
"Marriage? Me and Jingning?" he exclaimed, his patience thin.
He stood up abruptly, his voice filled with ire,
"How can you decide this?"
Jingning looked at him, her heart caught in a twist,
She knew this was fate's cruel, unexpected twist.
Mr. Mu's eyes narrowed, his tone did not waver,
"This is for the best, for both families' favor."
Mu Chen clenched his fists, his mind in a whirl,
How could he marry her, this unfamiliar girl?
Jingning's heart ached, seeing his disdain,
But she held her composure, hiding her pain.
"Mu Chen," she whispered, her voice soft and low,
"Let's talk about this, before we let emotions show."
He looked at her, his eyes filled with doubt,
But he nodded slightly, willing to hear her out.
They stepped aside, away from prying eyes,
To discuss their fate, beneath the evening skies.
