The sun was up and Steven was woken up by a knock on the door of his room, and it was none other than Elijah. "Wake up sleepy head, today will be a hectic day for you". Elijah said already dressed up for the day.
Steven had gotten down from the bed and was also getting prepared for the day. Elijah had already gotten clothes for him and now he was ready for the day, He took a deep breath and then stepped outside the house with Elijah.
They were heading for a large building, and Steven could see lots of other people with different weapons which he assumed were also beast hunters. "where are we heading to Elijah"
"I was expecting you to ask that question a lot sooner. Well, this is the Ironclaw beast hunter's association. And everyone you see heading for this building is either registered as a beast hunter of this organization or is going to register as an Ironclaw beast hunter and then go for the hunter's academy".
Elijah led Steven through the massive Ironclaw Beast Hunter's Association building, which towered over the other structures in the city. The building was made of steel and glass, reflecting the sunlight and the surrounding scenery.
Wow, this is amazing; Steven commented on what he had just seen. The entrance was marked by a giant metal claw that symbolized the strength and courage of the beast hunters.
Steven was amazed by the sight of the building and the people inside it. He felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness as he followed Elijah to the registration counter. He wondered what kind of challenges and adventures awaited him as a beast hunter. He hoped he would be able to live up to Elijah's expectations and his own dreams.
"Hey, Elijah, good to see you again!" a friendly voice called out from behind them. Steven and Elijah turned around and saw a young man with blond hair and blue eyes, wearing a jacket and a sword on his back. He had a cheerful smile on his face and a confident posture.
"Hey, Leo, long time no see!" Elijah replied, giving the man a hug. "How have you been?"
"I've been great, thanks for asking. Just came back from a mission in the forest. You know, the usual stuff: hunting monsters, saving villagers, getting rewards." Leo said casually.
"That's awesome, man. You're always so busy and adventurous." Elijah complimented him.
"Well, you know me. I love what I do. And speaking of which, who's this young fellow you have with you?" Leo asked, looking at Steven with interest.
"This is Steven. He's my new apprentice. I'm going to train him to become a beast hunter." Elijah introduced him. Apprentices? he never said I was his apprentice; Steven thought to himself.
"Really? Wow, that's impressive. You must have seen something special in him." Leo said, extending his hand to Steven. "Nice to meet you, Steven. I'm Leo, one of Elijah's friends and fellow beast hunters."
Steven shook Leo's hand politely. "Nice to meet you too, Leo.
Leo smiled warmly at him. "You're very humble, I like that. You have a lot of potential, Steven. I can tell by looking at you."
"Thank you for saying that," Steven said gratefully.
"Don't mention it. It's the truth." Leo said sincerely.
"Leo is one of the best swordsmen in the city. He is really fast and also a second-rated hunter like me" Elijah explained to Steven.
"Wow, that's amazing," Steven said admiringly.
"Thanks, Elijah. You're too kind." Leo said modestly.
"Not at all. You deserve all the praise you get." Elijah said honestly.
Leo chuckled. "You're such a good friend, Elijah."
"And you're such a good beast hunter, Leo," Elijah said warmly.
They exchanged a look of mutual respect and admiration.
Steven felt happy to see them get along so well. He hoped he would be able to learn from both of them and become a good beast hunter himself someday.
Finally, Elijah took Steven to meet the head of the association. The head was a tall, muscular man with a stern expression. "Elijah, you are back from your journey and who is this with you" Oscar asked looking at Steven.
"This is Steven sir, and his with me". Elijah then went on to explain what happened on his journey and how Steven was the only survivor in his village. " And he is here with me today because he wants to be a hunter.
Oscar then looked at Steven one more time and asked Elijah "Does he have Ki energy? Because not everybody can become a beast hunter you know". Yes, he does and I made sure of it last night sir; Elijah answered.
"Tell me, young man," he said. "Why do you want to be a beast hunter?"
Steven took a deep breath and looked the head in the eye. "I want to be a beast hunter to protect people from dangerous creatures," he said. "I want to make sure that no one else has to suffer like my village and family did."
Oscar nodded slowly. "I see," he said. "Well, just saying that cannot impress me, let me put you to a test so that I can see if you are really capable.
Fight me.
