At the last moment, Dorian let go of his blade; he stumbled a few steps back as he dodged the blade. Yet he did not move fast enough; a sliver of pain rang through his veins from his cheek. Raising his hand, he could feel the watery liquid flowing from a wound.
"Haha, you're without your weapon now. Now we can really see who will return to the embrace of the night," Aldrich chuckled. He looked gruesome and hideous; Dorian's blade still stuck out from his shoulder, blood flowing down the rest of Torvalds body.
Dorian did not panic; he remained calm. Taking a deep breath, he shifted his body into a peculiar stance. His feet were shoulder-width apart, and his toes pointed slightly outward. He bent his knees and leaned forward with his chest. The stance was then completed with Dorian raising his hands in a defensive manner.
