Chapter 4 - W1:4: A chance.

Unfortunately, this made him even more sour. How come this Grey seemed to have something with his benefactor yet he...he was just a person whom Ryan had helped..

Hell! -Even the manager seemed to have a thing with his benefactor!

Fu Yuzheng's nose twitched and his cheeks puffed up subtly.

∆(You have to understand that Fu treats Ryan like his life and all that so he gets active with anything regarding him. So no cold persona and all that ~)∆

Fu Yuzheng's hand gained a mind of its own and raised-under the table- placing itself snuggly in Ryan's bigger palm.

Fu took a moment to realize what he had done and his eyes widened slightly.

'Stupid! Stupid! Stupid hand!' He chanted in his mind as his face flushed red.

H-how could he hold the hand of his benefactor!?

As if he had touched fire, he quickly pulled his hand away but it was held by a firm grip.

∆~∆

Ryan could smell the vinegar wafting off of Fu Yuzheng.

He knew Wu Tang would be sour but had not expected that Fu would feel jelous..

Ryan narrowed his eyes slightly as a smile threatened to break out on his face. This didn't bother him at all. As a matter of fact, it made things even better.

Another unexpected thing was that Fu was courageous enough to place his hand on his.

It was known to the both of them that Fu Yuzheng acted like a timid little brother in front of him.

To say Ryan was surprised was an understatement but he quickly gained his composture and held the hand about to slip away.

Ryan's heart felt tickled, he had to give this little cutie a chance... right?

Fu was even more shocked.

Ryan...held his hand back!

Was this a dream?

With Ryan being older and providing everything during his hardest times, he saw Ryan as his benefactor...His benefactor.

Yes! His benefactor!

Who said that he didn't have a chance? (You) He would find his slot somewhere in Ryan's heart even if he had a thousand other rivals!

Fu Yuzheng determined: (//ಠ_ಠ)」

He hardened his wildly beating heart and held Ryan's hand back with his sweaty palms.

His faces was as red as a boiled lobster. He did it!

Ryan smiles slightly.

Director Aaron stood up and said," Let me go grab the script and other needed materials. We need to be prepared because we will set off next week which is a few days from now. Although I'm sure most of you have gone through the materials and information, it doesn't hurt to do it again. Give me a minute while I leave you boys to interact."

His voice had gone hoarse from the non stop talking but still retained it's jovialness.

Director Aaron then left the room , closing the door behind him.

Oh dear lord, please let them get along....

Dion was sitting across Ryan and his mates, on the further end of the U shaped table.

His bored silver gaze roamed the people seated with on the table.

What was he doing here again?

Right. To run from the old man's nagging. Also because the person he has been investigating for a whole year with no leads was supposed to be participating in this interesting show.

Still, it was mainly to avoid the old man's nagging.

He hoped Rain was taking good care of the business otherwise....

Hmp. Dion suppressed a sneer. He would just sit back and watch those disgusting humans make clowns of themselves. Meanwhile, he would just relax and wait to collect the rewards in the end.

After all, he was one to watch in the light and not operate in the dark.

Sigh.

Dion's gaze soon landed on Ryan. He spotted the two beside him blushing like little maidens and the other on the side stank of vinegar.

Dion's brow quirked in interest. He wondered what was going on there.

He stood up and broke the long silence eerily hanging over the room as the present men observed and assessed each other.

One had to know that each of them came from a powerful background.

"Hi everyone. The name's Dion Heart, third son of the house of Heart. Nice to meet you." He gave everyone a warm smile that would melt the coldest of ice in antartica.

The rest gave him stares.

Everyone in the business knew that a warm exterior hid the darkest of souls so Dion's couldn't fool them.

Dion knew this and when no one responded his smile dropped and inch.

"Ryan Lancaster, actor. Pleased to meet you."

Ryan introduced himself next as he saw the annoyance flicker in Dion's eyes.

The dark haired man with silver eyes spared him a gaze full of interest.

...

..

..

The two stared at each other as if entranced, both feeling a flicker of familiarity in their hearts.

"Grey Rodgers, Colonel of the Mabil's military. " The shy, blushing man was no where to be found as the persona of a trained military man was seen.

This introduction raised some impressed brows.

Grey assessed the man in front of them- Dion- with an inquiring look. Ryan was so focused on him and he wondered what prompted him to do so.

'You know him..' A voice in his heart whispered.

He did?

As a soldier, Grey was always instructed to trust his gut and shelved that thought for later, keeping a calm visage.

"Fu Yuzheng, CEO of Zheng Corps." Fu muttered as he also stood up with a cold aura adorning his figure.

He also had the same thoughts as Grey but displayed nothing on the surface.

"Wu Tang, Ryan's agent." Wu chimed in the introductions.

He was no different from Grey and Fu as his attention was focused on Ryan.

"Ace Diago, actor." A black haired, blue eyed man followed and divulged this vague information as he stood up as well.

His blue eyes held a glint of slyness and mirth and on his face was a small smirk. He could see the gears turning in the other mens head on hearing his family name....Diago.
