It didn't surprise Russell that General Ross knew who he was in the Underworld.
He hadn't been hiding his true identity too much, and General Ross could have found that out with a casual phone call if he wanted to investigate.
"I don't need you to join the military."
"I know that superhumans like you don't really like dealing with official agencies."
"It's not so much about joining as it is about working together."
"You do something for me, I give you something in return, we all get what we want, just like military contractors."
General Ross looked at Russell and said.
"If it's not joining, just working together, then we can all move on to the next conversation."
"I wonder what trouble you want me to help you with, General?"
Russell's status in the underworld is that of an ace assassin for the Continental Hotel, but no one has ever dictated that an assassin should only do the work of an assassin.
There was nothing wrong with taking on a commission from General Ross, as long as he was paid what he was interested in.
"I want you to help me take someone alive!"
General Ross's expression suddenly became incredibly serious.
"Just captured alive? General you should know that I'm better at sending my targets to hell compared to capturing them alive."
Russell asked rhetorically.
"He can't die, he must live!"
"As long as you can assist me in capturing him alive, your Zagu Battle Armor, not only can you sell it to Jack and Johnson, but I can also help you get orders from the military for the other weapons your lab produces."
Ross was only a lieutenant general in the Air Force, but he was not one of those civilian officials who only had a rank and no real power.
Not to mention his vast network of connections in the military, his authority in the military alone was a force to be reckoned with.
Russell did not answer General Ross at once, but assumed the appearance of being in earnest thought.
Although General Ross hadn't said who the target was yet, what he had just said had made it clear that the one he wanted to capture alive was, 80%, Bruce Banner.
Not only that, but judging from the fact that he had entrusted himself as an outsider, he should have already tasted defeat at the hands of Bruce Banner, and that was why he had considered inviting him, an outsider, to join in the capture.
After thinking about it for a few minutes, he didn't refuse and just agreed.
Isn't it just about capturing the Hulk?
Not much of a problem!
Capturing the Hulk alive shouldn't be difficult as long as you can tell where he is.
"General, you are so sincere, if I still refuse, it would be a bit too much of a loss of face."
"Who are you taking alive, General?"
Russell asked, turning to General Ross.
"I'll let you know the specifics of the target the next time we meet."
"I'll send someone to pick you up after your Zagato Battle Armor finishes its practical test."
With that said, General Ross left the tasting room.
After he left, Russell had no intention of remaining at the estate and returned to the lab in his Porsche 911.
He had only planned to market the Zagu Battle Armor to the military today, but he hadn't expected that Ross would be among the military bigwigs that the Senator had contacted.
What he didn't expect was that Ross had actually commissioned him to capture the Hulk.
When he returned to his office, he logged into the Black Market Forums, from which he found an intelligence broker he had dealt with a few times before.
In the black market, anything can be bought and sold.
Intelligence is even more of a mainstream commodity among them.
After sending a message to this intelligence broker, whom he had never met before, and paying a deposit in advance, he logged out of the black market forums and waited patiently for the intelligence broker's reply.
Two days later.
Russell arrives at some military testing ground with the Zag Suit Battle Armor covered in army green.
This time, he did not meet Ross, only Jack and Johnson, the two Army major generals.
Ross hadn't been much interested in the Zag Suuj Battle Armor.
Not to mention that Russell's current production of Zagu Battle Armor doesn't have sustained flight capability, only low-level projectile flight.
A battle armor that couldn't fly consistently wouldn't be of much interest, even if it were any other air force general.
After greeting Generals Jack and Johnson, Russell handed the battle armor over to the testers arranged by the military.
He wouldn't be testing in battle armor himself, and the military wouldn't let him.
After all, when the time came, the person wearing the battle armor on the battlefield wouldn't be him, but the military's own soldiers.
The operating system of the Zagu Battle Armor retains only the most basic functions though, and cannot be as intimate as the Inner Symbiosis Battle Armor.
But it's still not too difficult to operate.
It didn't take much time for the test soldiers to get used to the operation of the battle armor.
What happens next is simple.
Soldiers in Zagu Battle Armor began to single out various active weapons on the testing grounds.
The test ended quickly!
The results of the test were also very satisfying!
Without any suspense, the soldiers wearing the Zag Suuj Battle Armor demonstrated extremely strong fighting abilities, and almost one-sidedly gained the victory.
Russell was not surprised by the result.
The Mark 1's that Tony knocked out of the cave all but easily took out the terrorists and helped him escape with his life.
The crude Mark 1 could do such a brilliant battle, the Zagu Battle Armor, which had far superior performance to the Mark 1, could certainly perform even better.
After the test, the two generals, Jack and Johnson, made a unanimous choice.
The first military orders for the Octopus Monster Military Science and Technology Laboratory arrived without a hitch.
Five Zago warjacks for a total of six hundred million dollars!
Delivery in one month!
Russell had enough money to make the advance, but he took a half deposit up front to be on the safe side.
The remaining half is paid at the time of delivery.
Of course, in return, this Zagu Battle Armor from the test stayed directly in the hands of the military.
After getting the order from the military, Russell returned to the lab in a happy mood.
The order of six hundred million dollars is not considered a big order, but this order is significant.
As of today, his Octopus Monster Labs, is officially a military enterprise.
The matter of manufacturing the battle armor, he left it all to No. 3 and Peter Jr. to handle.
As for him, it wasn't long after he returned to the lab that he boarded a plane to the Pentagon.
Ross sent for him, as promised!
Pentagon.
Ross's office.
At the moment, Ross, dressed in camouflage, sat behind his desk with a thick Cuban cigar in his mouth.
In front of him sat two men.
One was Russell, who had just arrived at the Pentagon.
The other was Emil Bronski, who wasn't very tall, but sat up straight.
Bronski, though, seemed fine, refined, and a proper soldier.
But Russell was keenly aware that something was wrong.
Bronski was suppressing his own emotions.
Has this been injected with the enhanced serum?
Thinking about it, Russell couldn't help but take a few more glances at Bronski.
Bronski sensed his gaze and returned an icy look.
Russell doesn't show any weakness and locks eyes with Bronski.
