The bodies of Raza and the others flopped to the ground.
Tony and Ethan, on the other hand, were completely dumbfounded.
From the time it appeared, Russell's moves have been more accidental than not at one time.
First, he ignored the threats and even compelled the Ten Rings to kill Tony.
Then they further irritated the Ten Commandments gang, fearing that they would not shoot.
And then in the end, surprisingly, he took out the Ten Commandments gang directly.
Is this guy crazy?
Isn't he afraid that the Ten Commandments gang will really shoot and kill me?
Tony looked at Russell viciously, as if he wanted to eat him.
"Don't look at me like that, I'm no good."
"If you keep looking at me like that, maybe I'll accomplish what should have been accomplished by them."
Russell pointed to the bodies of Raza and the others.
He then disengaged his venomous form in front of Tony and Ethan and took the black tentacle-operated pistol into his hands, revealing his true form.
Upon hearing Russell's threat, Tony was even more disgruntled, but the desire to survive had risen up and he curbed his angry look.
"Sit down."
Russell said as he pointed his gun at Tony and Ethan.
"Who the hell are you?"
Immediately after sitting down, Tony asked.
"My name is Russell Bradley, I'm a private investigator and assassin living in New York."
Russell said with a smile.
Tony hadn't expected that Russell would actually answer the question and give out his real name and occupation.
"Private detectives and assassins?"
"So are you a detective or a killer now?"
After a few seconds of thought, Tony continued to ask.
"Whether I'm a detective or a killer depends on whether you get out of here alive."
"You get out of here alive, then I'm a private detective."
"If you die, I'm the killer."
Tony is a genius, but at this point he still can't keep up with Russell's train of thought.
From the looks of it, Russell is a handsome and harmless looking young man in his early twenties.
But it was this young man who single-handedly broke into the stronghold of the Ten Commandments gang and killed the terrorists who had taken them hostage under their noses, without changing his face.
"You want money? How much do you want, name your price, whatever you want, I can fulfill it."
Tony said quickly.
"I do want money, after all, it cost me a lot of money and time to come all the way to Afghanistan."
"But let the others decide how much it will take to let you go."
With Tony's wealth, he could indeed offer a mind-blowing payoff.
But Russell is a man of principle.
"What do you mean?"
Tony, now not wanting to guess what Russell was really thinking, asked directly.
"You'll see in a minute, and by the way, I'll give you an insider tip by the way, this kidnapping was arranged by Obadiah."
"As to why, you should easily guess why."
Russell answered Tony as he pulled out his satellite phone.
As Tony and Ethan watched, he dialed a number.
Doo... doo... doo... doo... doo...
After a couple dozen seconds, the call was answered.
Without waiting for the person on the other end of the line to speak, Russell was the first to say, "Good afternoon, Mr. Stanny!"
"Nope, Afghanistan is 12 hours and 30 minutes faster than Los Angeles, so it should be late at night, Mr. Steinie you can take a bathroom break later if you don't mind."
Stanny on the other end of the line had thought it was a harassing call from nowhere.
However, after hearing the word Afghanistan, he dismissed the idea of hanging up the phone.
"Who are you?"
I don't know if it was because I was woken up in the middle of the night or if I sensed something, Obadiah's tone sounded a bit gloomy.
Russell hit the speaker button to let Tony know that on the other end of the line was Obadiah, whom he considered a mentor and close friend.
Just as Tony was about to open his mouth to say something, Russell pointed his pistol at him, signaling him to keep quiet.
"It doesn't matter who I am, what matters is that I have Tony Stark now."
"Mr. Staney since you planned the kidnapping, I'm sure you shouldn't mind spending a fortune to take out Stark." Russell said without slowing down.
"I don't know what you are talking about, if you are the one who kidnapped Tony and you want ransom, I can give it to you, but you must make sure Tony is safe." Obadiah said righteously.
"If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you should contact the military."
"Stark Industries has a good relationship with the military, you should be able to contact the commander of the U.S. base in Afghanistan pretty easily."
"By the way, Stark's good friend Colonel Rhodes is in Afghanistan right now, so it's okay if you contact him." Russell said with a relieved look on his face.
"Who the hell are you and what the hell do you want?" Obadiah's tone became even colder.
"Like I said, it doesn't matter who I am, it matters how much you're willing to pay to take out Tony Stark."
"You can pay the Ten Commandments a large sum of money for a murder, you can't come to me and not be willing to pay a dime, can you?"
"If you really don't want to pay a dime, that's fine, I'm sure Tony Stark wouldn't mind paying a large sum of money to get his life back."
"I'll give you ten seconds to think about it, and hopefully you'll be able to come up with a price that's mutually acceptable."
"10, 9, 8, 7 ..."
Russell started the countdown straight away.
Just as he was about to count down to the last second, Obadiah finally gave his answer.
"Three hundred million dollars!"
"I can give you three hundred million dollars, how do you want to receive it, money transfer, bank cashier's check, bearer bonds, or the equivalent?"
Tony had had one last fantasy about Obadiah.
But now that last illusion is shattered.
Glancing at Tony, Russell said slowly, "Transfer the money."
Having said that, he gave Obadiah an offshore bank account that had never been used and was not even in his own name.
As an assassin, it's important to know where you can get a meal and what to do with your paycheck.
The United States of America's tax department is no joke!
This is a magical department that dares to collect taxes from drug dealers and has its own armed organization, jail cells prisons, and courts.
The only things that are eternal in this world are death and paying taxes!
This phrase was born because of the United States of America's tax department.
"I need a little time to process!" Obadiah said slowly.
"Yes!"
With that said, Russell simply hung up and tossed the phone to Tony.
This guy has the quirk of not taking things from other hands.
So he chose to throw the phone at Tony rather than hand it over.
"Obadiah was willing to pay $300 million for your life, so you shouldn't mind taking $600 million to buy your life back."
600 million dollars is a bit much, but that's for everyone else.
For Tony, his life is far more than 600 million dollars can measure.
"You want me to transfer the money to your account too?"
Tony asked.
"No, the phone is for you to call for help."
"You know my real name and profession, I'm waiting for you and your 600 million dollars in New York."
Russell stood up and smiled.
"Aren't you afraid I won't give it?"
Looking at Russell, who stood up, Tony suddenly asked.
"Six hundred million dollars is not a big number for you."
"Besides, if you don't give it, I'll ask for it myself, and you don't want to see me in that situation."
With that, Russell turned and walked away.
Just as he was about to leave the cave, Tony stood up and turned to him and asked loudly, "Where's Obadiah? You take his money and you do nothing?"
After hearing Tony's words, Russell shook his head helplessly and said without looking back, "He won't transfer the money!"
"What he needs time to deal with is not transferring money, but finding someone to take out you and me."
"If you don't want to die here, you'd better contact your good friend Colonel Rhodes as soon as possible."
