Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 - The Last words

The battle was finally over, everyone was getting treatment, the doctor and his assistant had his hands full.

Ashur had no wounds, the same for Alana. She was helping the doctor, healing the ones with severe wounds.

Ashur watched as Alana moved among the wounded, her hands glowing with healing energy. Despite the chaos of the aftermath, she remained calm and focused, her determination evident in her every movement.

Ashur could feel his respect for Alana growing even more. In that moment, he realized that he had misjudged her. He had allowed his anger and bitterness to cloud his perception of her true character.

"That's our mate. My love." Ignis was excited feeling Tera's scent, to him was sweeter than anything. At that moment Alana looked at him. He felt a hot feeling raising inside of him.

In that moment, a rush of emotions flooded over him, overwhelming and unexpected. He felt desire raising and he found himself drawn to Alana's presence.

Ignis' words echoed in his mind, Ashur was torn. All the feelings and sensations were maybe not his. All was Ignis reaction to Alana's dragon.

Ashur's mind raced as he considered the possibility that the emotions he was experiencing were not his own, but rather a result of Ignis's connection with Alana's dragon.

As a dragon himself, Ignis had the ability to sense the emotions and intentions of others, and it was possible that he was projecting those sensations onto Ashur.

An internal battle waged within Ashur as he tried to separate his own feelings from those influenced by Ignis. He questioned whether his attraction to Alana was genuine or simply a product of the bond they shared through their respective dragons.

He couldn't let Ignis's influence cloud his judgment or dictate his actions.

"My Lady." Malaica grabbed Alana's hand who was cleaning wounds. " You should rest and eat something."

"Oh, I will just help a little bit more." She said while washing the cloth.

"It's no good, my Lady, we wouldn't want for you to collapse."Malaica smiled sweetly. "And we later may need a little help at wintergarden, so please rest." Alana nodded and got up to leave.

Everyone looked at her as always, not a glimpse of fear could be seen in their eyes.

She sighted in relief and left.

As Alana entered her chambers, she couldn't help but think about Ashur. She had been drawn to him from the moment they met, but now she questioned if those feelings were genuine. Were they really her own, or were they simply a product of the bond she shared with Tera ?

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind. She couldn't let Tera dictate her feelings any longer. She had to make decisions based on her own judgment, her own feelings.

Alana walked over to a small table in her chambers and poured herself a glass of water. As she took a sip, she glanced outside the window and saw the wintergarden below. It was the one place where she felt a sense of peace and solace, away from the chaos around her.

She set down the glass and made her way towards the garden. Maybe in there she could silence some intrusive thoughts, that were creeping in her mind.

As Alana stepped into the wintergarden, she could feel the crispness of the air and the scent of the flowers, and herbs. It was a calming atmosphere, one that reminded her of simpler times. She began to the plants, losing herself in the rhythm of her tasks.

Hours passed, and Alana found herself immersed in the work, and the healing of the plants and vegetables. Tera unlocked powers were now, easier to access, she knew now more about Tera's powers and affinity to the earth.

The worries and doubts that had plagued her mind seemed to fade away, if only temporarily. She felt a sense of purpose, a connection to the land.

As the day drew to a close, Alana looked around at the fruits of their labor. The wintergarden was thriving, a testament to their hard work and dedication. And for a brief moment, Alana allowed herself to feel a sense of accomplishment.

But as she turned to leave, a familiar figure caught her eye. It was Ashur, standing at the entrance of the garden with a determined look on his face. Alana felt her heart skip a beat, and she couldn't help but wonder if there was something more to their connection than just the influence of Tera and Ignis.

She took a step towards him, her own feelings were mixed with Tera's, all the piece was gone, her mind and her heart were in turmoil.

"So you have a Dragon!" Ashur said coldly.

"Yes, Tera. " She answered.

"So here is the dragon couple hiding? I was already thinking that you two eloped to kill the king." Jakar said his tone filled with sarcasm.

"We're not hiding," Ashur replied, his voice firm.

Jakar scoffed, his eyes filled with amusement, it enjoyed teasing Ashur and now he had the perfect opportunity. "No, no by all means, you should spend time together, you are married after all, we all anxious to the betrothed ceremony, to finalise your union."

Alana remember the ceremony, she had witness for Malaica and Rahul. Her face remained neutral like always.

Ashur on the other hand blushed, he knew what that ceremony meant more than exchanging vows, was also the first night for a man and the woman to spend together.

Jakar laughed mockingly. " You have to forgive me My Lady, our Master here is still a shy boy."

"Ohh " Alana had a surprise face out of her neutral gaze.

"Are you surprised about that?" Jakar grinned from hear to hear, Ashur was also very curious by her reaction.

"Hmm is just... It's the first time you address to me so formally, I was a little surprised." She returned to her neutral expression.

Jakar laughed loudly. "Indeed, you two are just perfect for each other. I can't wait for you to have babies." He winke turned around and walked away, leaving Alana and Ashur standing in the wintergarden, their hearts pounding faster.

"Ignore him," Ashur said softly, his voice filled with shyness. "I am going to burn him." Ashur said between his teeth.

"I finally found you Ashur." Said Jakobus approaching them.

'why is everyone today so eager to talk to me, does he come here to tease me as well.' Ashur thought for himself.

"My Lady." Jakobus greeted Alana with a bow.

"Ashur there's something that has been bugging me about Gideon last words."

"What about Gideon' s last words?" Ashur didn't really care about what Gideon had to say, but if he worried Jakobus, he was then willing to spare his time with it.

"Gideon said that the King can kill dragons. At least that's what I could make of his words."

"Even if he can.."

"No Ashur don't take that lightly, I need the book. "

"What book?" Ashur asked, Jakobus looked at Alana before answering.

"The black book".
