Jakobus furrowed his brow, unsure of how he could assist in breaking the seal. " Lady Alana, I understand that you want to help Tera, but breaking that seal could have consequences, that Tera is trying to prevent from happening. We need to be careful."
"I know, but Tera is only trying to protect me. She's willing to get hurt rather than let go of that seal," Alana explained with frustration in her voice. "I can't just stand by and watch her suffer."
Mandrak, who had been listening quietly, spoke up. "Alana, breaking a seal is no simple task. It requires powerful magic and precise knowledge."
Jakobus glanced at Mandrak and then back at Alana. After a moment, Mandrak stoop up from where she was sitted and turned to Alana. "Alright, Alana. If you're willing to take the risk, I will do what I can to assist you. But I must warn you. Breaking this seal could have unforeseen consequences for you.
Alana nodded, "since I remember Tera has been there for me, I know no matter what she is trying to hold back to protect me, I will handle it."
Mandrak was ready to break the seal. She extended her hand. Was starting to enchant, "stop!" Tera jumped back.
" I am sorry Alana, you have to understand if you remove the seal, we can't put it back."
"I just don't want you to be hurt..." Tera interromped Alana.
"I will be just fine, it's you I am worried about. You don't have to remove the seal right now, in human realm my powers are enough just like this."
"No... It's painful." Glacies suddenly appeared, she was eavesdropping. "Alana that seal is also painful for Tera, she won't admit but the seal not only is sealing her powers as well her ability to connect with us, to feel our presence. "
"What do you mean?" Jakobus asked.
"Us dragons can feel eachothers presence and we connect not only through aura but also through a scent that, that scent is connected to out element power and if her power is blocked she can't liberate that scent.
If the case Tera can't seem to notice my presence of any other dragon, and the same for us with her."
"But in the council room they notice it Tera's presence." Said Jakobus curiously.
"Indeed, but not through a her scent but because Humans auras are different, yours and Alana's are very distinctive that they noticed something was up."
Alana listened intently to Glacies' explanation, processing the information. She hadn't realized the extent to which the seal was affecting Tera's ability to connect with others, especially with her fellow dragons.
"So, removing the seal would not only restore Tera's powers but also allow her to reconnect with you and the other dragons?" Alana asked, seeking confirmation.
Glacies nodded. "Yes, that's correct. The seal is not just suppressing her powers; it's also cutting off her ability to fully communicate and connect with us. Dragons rely heavily on these connections through scent, and without them, Tera will not be able to connect, not even to Ignis"
Alana understood that breaking the seal was a risky endeavor, but she couldn't bear the thought of Tera continuing to suffer in silence. She turned to Tera, her voice filled with conviction.
'I know you want to protect me, Tera, but I don't want you to do it anymore, I want you know I am ready to face whatever, so please trust me. '
"Let us help you break the seal and restore your powers, so you can reconnect with your dragon kin. Together, we'll face any consequences that may arise."Alana said it out loud this time.
Tera hesitated, the internal struggle was slowly fading away with Alana resolve, after a moment, she decided "Okay, I trust you, if you think you are ready, then I won't stand in your way."
"Thank you. "Said Alana.
"Glacies, the seal was made by a human, however it was not an ordinary one.
She was soulbounded with powerful dragon. That human was Alana's mother and the Dragon was Éter"
Glacies eyes widened. Eter was very well know Dragon, she was known to be wise, and strong, her family Dragon lineage was heavy supporters of human soulbounding.
"Mother, I had a mother?" Until now the only family she remembered was her uncle.
"Of course, a mother and a father, and they did everything to protect you until the day they died, and made sure you would remain safe until the day you would be ready.
You were always protected, Alana, even if you didn't know it. Your mother, Éter and your father made that the seal would keep you safe and hidden from those who would want harm you. But now, it's time."
Mandrak stepped forward, her serious expression. "I will guide you through the process, but remember, breaking the seal will unleash a force that has been dormant within you. You must be prepared for the changes it will bring."
Alana nodded, her cold yet serene expression showed that she was ready.
With Glacies, and Mandrak leading the removal of the seal, their extended hands towards the seal. The air crackled with anticipation as magical energy surged around Alana ready to be unleashed.
With the combined efforts they began, Alana's process of breaking the seal.
It was painful, for both Tera and Alana.
Alana screamed, as the seal started to crack, she focused all her energy on breaking the seal, feeling the power within her rise to the surface. She channeled her emotions and her connection to Tera, drawing strength from their bond.
Alana was gasping for air amidst the pain, she was having hard time breathing.
'Breath through the pain. ' Tera tried to soothe Alana's mind.
Memories started to flow in her mind, little by little she could form her mothers appearance her brown skin, her warm smile, her scent, her touch, her father looked like her uncle, but taller, with gentle face, his pale skin made the contrast with her mother. They looked in love.
Her uncle looked more gentler, and nicer, playing with her.
The memories kept flowing, her house was invaded by the kings knights, destroying everything they could.
Her mother was trying to keep save the small little girl in her arms.
"You have to be brave my little one, you have to live." Those words ressonated with her dream.
"Mother..." Alana said between her teeth.
As Alana's hand hovered over the seal, a surge of raw energy burst forth, momentarily blinding everyone in the room. The screams from Alana and Tera's intertwined souls could be heard from outside of the room.
The seal was finally broken. Alana fell to the ground, the memories of her family, of the people she used to love were now there, as well as the sense of loss.
