He closed his eyes as every time this teleportation happened, his eyes would hurt. Why hurt himself?
Soon, he realized the atmosphere had changed. He opened his eyes and looked in front of him.
In front of him stood a huge stone tablet, floating in mid-air, with thousands of names engraved on it, glowing with red light.
He looked at the surroundings, the white clouds moving here and there, the ground full of clouds, as if he were floating in the sky with huge stones. "An illusion?" he muttered.
Soon, a voice echoed through his mind. "Congratulations for passing the first trial. Please proceed with naming; the next trial will begin now." A black metal figure appeared, the same size and shape as a man, with its top glowing with red lights.
"I see," he muttered and carefully engraved "Moon_Granade." He chuckled, seeing his name in the middle of those thousand names, his gaming name amidst them.
There were no details as to who was first, as the names weren't organized. Still, seeing his gaming name in the middle, he couldn't help but feel excited. It was his first marking as Tanvir Kaizer in this new world.
He admired the bold names and realized he wasn't the only one who didn't have their real name on the tablet. Another name was engraved there, "Phonix pearl, Luna," standing out as it didn't have the style of writing by hand but more like sword marks.
He realized there were many names like this, but "Phonix pearl, Luna" stood out the most.
A couple of seconds later, he realized his battle mode was still on. He was about to turn it off, but his vision started fading away. He closed his eyes in disappointment.
After a while, the atmosphere changed again, indicating he was in a new place.
He opened his eyes, and in front of him stood a huge bluebird with blue flames surrounding it. Its crystal-clear eyes were looking at him, and he felt exposed. But he realized something unusual; he wasn't panicking. Then he remembered the pendant.
Meanwhile, he stared at the bird's eyes, seeing his reflection. He didn't know if it was real or not, but he was sure something would happen, so he didn't look away.
As expected, a voice echoed through his mind. "A weak celestial spark with a mindset of a fighter... interesting."
He didn't look away and continued to look at it. "Hmm, a soul-type celestial with laws. Interesting, human. Can you put away the soul gear?"
Confused about what it was saying, he thought it might be talking about battle mode. He turned it off, and colors started appearing, revealing the bird wasn't blue but red, and its eyes were red too.
"Hmm, as expected, a soul celestial, but with weak potential. Which is unfortunate, but you can sense a rare aura."
He didn't understand everything, but he wasn't oblivious. It was clearly talking about his system or battle mode. He opened his mouth. "Greetings, Senior. How may this junior help you?" He recited the famous line of MCs when they encountered someone majestic.
"Nothing, I guess. It's been a long time since someone mentioned my name. I almost forgot that I wrote my real name there. It's been thousands of years since I visited the lower realms. Haha, such good memories," it started laughing and finally removed its eyes from him. He also had the chance to look away and get a glimpse of his surroundings. He was in the middle of a beautiful garden, with a huge white palace behind it.
"Hmm, should I reward or try to upgrade that weak unique celestial spark of yours? But are you worth me spending my one feather on you? Tell me, human, what worth do you have?" It spoke, and an invisible pressure descended upon him, bearable but noticeable.
"I don't know what my worth is. What I might consider having some value might be useless to you. But I can assure you I'm worth rewarding. It was me who helped you remember the memories of when you were in the lower realm. And if you don't reward, I will think that you didn't want me to reward in the first place, and..."
A huge pressure descended upon him, and his body started burning in the heat. "That's some nice mouth you've got there. So what if you think I'm playing with you? So what if you think I'm low... I can just kill you along with your planet in the blink of an eye."
Its voice became louder, and he could feel his ears bleeding. He gritted his teeth and muttered, "Kill me, then... and prove yourself that you are trash."
"Hahahaha... No need to use those tactics. Okay, I decided not to kill you as you are a celestial. Even if you are weak, you are still one of them, and there are only 12,080 of them in the Universe. Killing you will be a waste. Hmm, I was going to upgrade your celestial spark, but meh, it won't be fun. I will just train you until those brats come back home."
The pressure disappeared, and he could finally stand up. His pain vanished. Unconsciously, he grabbed his katana and looked at it.
"Hmm, that's the spirit. If you do well, I might as well take you as a disciple."
Soon, its bodysuit started shining in white light, and he unconsciously remembered Selena when she transformed. And, as expected, the same thing happened. [To be continued...]
