Chapter 13 - Chapter Thirteen : The bandit Camp

Joe woke up early and got ready for his first mission as a B rank hunter. He had passed his rank promotion test the previous day, defeating Remy, the Blade Dancer, in a duel. He had used his devil fruit power, the pika pika no mi, which gave him the ability to manipulate and become light, to overpower his opponent.

He had received his B rank badge from the guild master, who had congratulated him and praised him for his skills. He had also received a new mission from the guild board, which was to exterminate a bandit camp located in the southern part of the kingdom.

He had accepted the mission without hesitation, as he hated bandits and wanted to get rid of them. The Reward was also too hard to leave. He had also heard that the bandits were responsible for many crimes and atrocities, such as robbing, killing, kidnapping, and raping innocent people.

[As a person who's from our time it will be hard to not take action against them. This does not mean the MC will run around helping people left and right. He is NOT A HERO just a human being.]

He had purchased the supplies for the trip, such as food, water, medicine, and ammunition.

He was confident and excited, but also careful and alert. He knew that the mission would be easy, but being overconfident will bite him back some time.

He decided to use his power wisely. He had not used it much in Karry city, as he wanted to keep it a secret from most people. He also wanted to save it for emergencies or special occasions.

But now he had no reason to hide it. He had no one to impress or deceive. He had only one goal: quickly exterminate the bandit camp and return to the city.

He activated his power and turned into light particles.

He increased his speed and moved faster than the eye could see. He left behind a trail of light.

He reached the southern part of the kingdom in less than an hour. He saw a vast and wild land, filled with hills, forests, rivers, and caves. He saw a few villages and towns, but they were far and between.

He looked for the bandit camp, and after looking for a while he found it in a valley, hidden by trees and rocks. He saw dozens of tents and huts, surrounded by a wooden fence. He saw hundreds of bandits, armed with swords, axes, bows, and guns. He saw their flags and banners, bearing their symbol: a red scorpion.

He felt a surge of anger and disgust. He hated these bandits more than anything. They plundered homes and villages. they only left destruction behind them. They were the ones who had attacked him and the Kent family on their way to Karry City. They were the ones who had tried to kidnap Lila and Rose. They were the ones who had forced him to use his power in front of them.

He decided to use his power fully. He had no mercy or pity for these bandits. He had only one desire: to kill them all.

He deactivated his power and reappeared above the bandit camp.

He shouted at the bandits.

"Yasakani No Magatam"

Just after saying that large amount of light beams struck the camp destroying it to the ground.

The bandits tried to fight back, but they were no match for him.

Joe landed on the ground and made a sword out of the light.

He slashed at them with his sword, cutting them down one by one.

He blasted them with his fire magic, burning them alive or dead.

He turned into light and moved around them, hitting them from all directions.

He used his light beams to pierce through their bodies or their heads.

He used his light punch to break their bones or their skulls.

He used his light kick to send them flying or crashing.

He killed them all without mercy or remorse.

He completed his mission without difficulty or delay.

Joe checked the bandit camp and found a passage that went inside the mountain. He wondered what was inside and decided to investigate. He went inside and found some bandits hiding in there. They were the ones who had escaped his attack or had stayed behind to guard something.

Joe used his devil fruit power and killed them quickly. He turned into light and moved around them, hitting them with his light beams. He did not bother to use his sword or fire magic, as he wanted to do this quickly.

He searched through some chambers and found a horrible sight. He saw women and children locked up in cages. They were the prisoners of the bandits, who had captured them during their raids and were waiting to sell them to slave traders.

Joe felt a surge of anger and pity. He hated the bandits for their cruelty and greed, and he wanted to free the prisoners from their misery.

'The weak would always be trampled' Joe thought to himself.

He went inside the chamber and broke the cage locks with his sword. He freed the women and children and escorted them out of the mountain.

The prisoners thanked Joe, who told them to follow him. He took them to the nearest town, which was about an hour away from the bandit camp.

He arrived at the town and saw that it was a small and poor place. It had a few houses and shops, but they were old and worn. It had a few people, but they were thin and weary.

He wondered if any of the prisoners belonged to this town, or if they had been taken from somewhere else.

He asked them if they knew anyone in the town, or if they had any relatives or friends who could help them.

Some of them said yes, and some of them said no.

Joe decided to help them all. He took them to the town hall, where he met the mayor. He was an old man with a beard and a hat. He looked surprised and curious when he saw Joe and the prisoners.

He asked Joe who he was and what he was doing.

Joe introduced himself as a hunter who had exterminated the bandit camp in the south. He explained that he had found these women and children in the bandit's hideout and that he had brought them here to find shelter and safety.

The mayor was shocked and grateful. He thanked Joe for his heroic deed and praised him for his kindness. He said that he would take care of the prisoners and that he would try to find their families or homes.

Joe said Goodbye to the villagers and left the place riding a horse which was a gift from the mayor. After riding the horse for a while he reached a town and decided to spend the night in the tavern.
