Mei Xing stared at her phone, her mind pounding in her chest. The phone call she had just received replayed in her head.
'How did they get my number?'
She wasn't even sure if the call was legitimate, but the threat felt very real. Plus they had mentioned Luo Jun.
Taking a deep breath, she reached for her phone and dialed her brother's number, praying he would pick up. Unfortunately, he didn't, the call went straight to voicemail.
Panic started to set in. Mei Xing needed to find out what was going on and fast.
"Come on, answer," she muttered under her breath as she tried the number again.
"Where are you, Luo Jun?"
After several attempts, she gave up and tossed the phone onto the table in frustration. Her brother had always been a bit of a wildcard.
But this... This was beyond anything she could handle alone. She buried her face in her hands, trying to think of a solution.
