Lu Aotian dropped his fork and leaned back in his seat, his expression guarded. "Why do you ask?"
Mrs Lu held his gaze, a mixture of curiosity and suspicion in her eyes. "Well, I just find it oddly coincidental that the moment we had a difference in our opinions, something bad happens to Eu-meh's family," she stated.
A frown creased Lu Aotian's features. "And you didn't think that the news of Han Eu-meh's involvement with a gang could have been the problem in the first place?"
Mrs Lu shrugged, trying to appear indifferent. "It could be a baseless rumor."
