So long as there were even traces of the air of the void around, it wouldn't be safe for the cadets to leave even with their Void Suits on. After all, the corosion of the void air was far more than what their beginner-class Void Suit can endure for now.
The female officer that dealt with the horde of voidlings harassing the barrier earlier didn't stay for long. She just confirmed their well-being, expressed her mild surprise at Cedric's competence, and left shortly after. Just like the rest, she too was busy, and she's needed elsewhere.
Cedric forgot to ask for her name, but he didn't think too much of it. He figured that since this camp was understaffed anyway, he'd discover who she was eventually.
