As I headed towards my apartment, I inhaled the scent of freshly made food. I reasoned that driving my car every day was wasting petrol and that I needed to save as much money as possible. As I entered the building, I recognised my flat. I gave the watchman a friendly grin.
I reached for my tiny handbag.
I took my keys in my hands and shut the door. I breathed a great sigh of relief as I returned to my flat. As I sat on the couch, I recognised something: every interaction with those boys had been strange, or remarkable in some way. For instance, the first time I dropped coffee on the three of them Then there was the mall. Then, on the night I was in trouble, I was with Damon and Valentino. And then today.. Damon also managed to make this day memorable. I felt myself smiling shyly at the concept.
I brewed some coffee and took out the newspaper. I turned through the newspaper to the back, where all the job applications were. In the last several days, I had realised that I truly needed a second job to meet my necessities. The only occupations available were those that did not require a degree.
I took up the phone, ready to call the best job. I scanned the article till I came to the necessity for a babysitter.The salary was adequate. "Hello there!" I said as I dialled the phone.
"Hi there," a male with a British accent stated.
"I just spotted your advertisement for a babysitter. "I am very interested in that position." In the receiver, I said.
"Well, I'm glad you called, but I'm afraid it's already gone." I had a phone call earlier. So... yeah. I apologise." I could hear the babies in the back babbling.
"Oh, it's all right! No worries."
I hung up and went looking for something else. I saw a Gardner application and dialled the number. I had always enjoyed gardening since I was a child, so I decided to give it a go.
"Ello," said an elderly man.
"Good day, sir." I just observed your Gardner job posting. I was determined-" His voice cut me off.
"I'm sorry. I'm just looking for a male Gardner. Sorry." He abruptly hung up the phone.
Okay, then...
While skimming through, my eyes were drawn to an advertisement for a house cleaner.
The pay was as requested, so I dialled the number and said, "hello there."
"Hello, how may I help you?" A male voice inquired.
"I spotted your advertisement for a housekeeper. So I agreed to take the job."
"Um. I'd love to, but I need to know a few things first." He stated.
"Sure, sure,"
"What age are you? Do you have any prior experience? Because this house is quite large. "I must say, very large..."
"Um. So, I'm about to turn 21. "My only experience is cleaning my own house, so I think I'll be fine." I replied truthfully.
"I'm afraid I won't be able to provide it to you. I need an experienced worker who isn't too young, considering the residence is quite...let's say, pricey?" He informed me of this.
"No, sir, I desperately need this job!" Please don't let me touch anything other than what needs to be cleaned. Please give me the opportunity." I pleaded. I was desperate for this position.
"All right.. Uh.. Let me see, wait." I could hear him conversing with someone.
"Well. They said that you could. It isn't a problem for them. "May we discuss the pay?"
"Thank you! Yes, absolutely. Sure."
"How about 500.00 pounds per week?"

"500 British pounds?" I took a deep breath.
"600 then?" Whaaa..

"700. Done. I'll send you the address." I looked for a pen as he wandered off.
"Yes. Please include the times." I had my pen ready.
"Yup. So it will take place three times per week, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The times may be From 12 p.m. until whatever time it takes you. "Does that work for you?" He inquired of Politelv.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays were my days off from work at the cafe.
