One would expect a grand war—a battle that would span months, perhaps even years. After all, conquering an entire planet is no small feat. However, the power displayed by the Gaia War Drones was so overwhelming that each Citadel fortress crumbled under the full force of fifty of them. These drones, equipped with cutting-edge weaponry and relentless AI, dismantled even the most fortified strongholds. Their rapid strikes left the Citadel forces scrambling, barely able to organize a counterattack before another wave obliterated their defenses.

But it wasn't just the drones that made the difference. Koriand'r, now crowned Queen, had reignited hope within the people of Tamaran. Her return was a beacon of resilience, a symbol that their once-broken world could be freed from the tyranny of the Citadel. The resistance, long demoralized, was now revitalized, rising from the shadows in organized attacks that coordinated perfectly with the drone onslaught.

Resistance fighters, once scattered and hiding, emerged in droves. Empowered by Koriand'r's presence, they began liberating territories across the planet. They attacked Citadel supply lines, stormed outposts, and launched guerrilla strikes on smaller garrisons. What was once a disjointed effort fueled only by desperation became a true uprising, now organized and focused on driving out their oppressors.

In the skies, Tamaranian warbirds—remnants of a lost era—fought alongside Gaia's drones, delivering the Citadel a taste of the long-forgotten ferocity of the Tamaranian people. They were no longer slaves. They were warriors.

The Citadel's strongholds fell like dominoes. Fortress after fortress succumbed to the relentless force. The mighty Citadel empire, once thought invincible, found itself outmatched. Their leaders, sitting in palaces built on the suffering of Tamaranians, had no escape. They were trapped between the might of Gaia's advanced technology and the spirit of a people whose resolve had been restored.

....

After three relentless days of warfare, Tamaran was nearly liberated, with 80% of the planet reclaimed from the Citadel's control. Reinforcements from the Citadel's mother planet were too slow to arrive, leaving the occupying forces to crumble under the combined might of Gaia's drones and the reignited resistance. In the capital, Vigon, the Citadel's appointed leader, was unraveling. His stress was visible as he screamed in frustration, lashing out at his commanders.

In the chaotic meeting room, where blame was tossed around like a wildfire, tensions ran high. The once-mighty Citadel leaders now devolved into panic, pointing fingers at one another in desperation. Vigon's anger exploded as the door swung open, revealing Blackfire—Komiand'r—clad in her dark queen attire.

Vigon's face twisted in rage. "Ah, look who showed up!" he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "This is all your fault! You should have killed your sister when you had the chance, you foolish bitch!"

His words were followed by a chorus of insults and jeers from the other Citadel leaders, each one piling on in a frenzy of hatred. But their voices were abruptly silenced.

In an instant, a blast of dark energy erupted from Komiandr, and Vigon's head was vaporized, his lifeless body crumpling to the floor. Blood splattered across the shocked faces of the remaining leaders, who froze in terror. Before they could react, Komiandr unleashed her fury. One by one, the Citadel leaders fell, their bodies hitting the floor as dark energy surged through them, ending their lives.

As the last of the leaders fell, Komiandr stood alone, her regal form drenched in blood. She walked out of the meeting room without a word, her expression cold, preparing herself for the final battle that awaited her.

The war for Tamaran was far from over, but now, it was her war.

...

Raiden descended from the skies of Tamaran's capital, his figure framed by the towering Gaia mothership behind him. Koriand'r, now the symbol of hope and future queen of the planet, flew beside him, her presence radiating strength. Together, they waited, their eyes fixed on the horizon.

Blackfire, Komand'r, rose from the ground, floating upward toward them. Her gaze lingered on the immense Gaia mothership, its power undeniable, having released the swarm of drones that decimated the Citadel's forces. She then turned her attention to Raiden, her voice heavy with a mixture of regret and resignation.

"Are you here to finish me?" she asked, her eyes searching his expression.

Raiden raised an eyebrow, his voice calm yet firm. "Are you talking to me? For today, I am nothing but a mere soldier," he replied. His hand motioned toward Koriand'r. "She is the general, the leader, and the future queen of this land. If you want to negotiate, fight, or anything else, talk to her."

Blackfire's annoyance flickered across her face, but she sighed, turning her attention to her sister. "Koriand'r," she greeted with a hint of bitterness.

Koriand'r, better known to some as Starfire, met her sister's gaze with a sad smile. "Komiand'r," she greeted softly, a touch of sorrow in her voice.

"I should have known you'd come back," Komand'r said, her voice laced with regret. "I had given up hope on this place. I brought shame to our family, led to the suffering of millions on our planet. I do not ask for forgiveness, but I ask you, my sister, to be the one to end me."

Koriand'r sighed, her expression full of empathy. "You still blame yourself for that?" she asked softly. "The Citadel was coming, regardless. Your betrayal… it was simply self-preservation."

Before Kori could continue, Komand'r cut her off, her tone sharp. "I had thought you had changed, that you learned something! But I see that nothing has changed." She turned to Raiden, her frustration evident. "You won't interfere?"

Raiden crossed his arms and nodded. "If she never asks me, I'll stand here and watch. Try to kill her, however, and I'll end you."

Komiand'r's gaze hardened. Without another word, she launched herself at Kori, her dark energy surging as she attacked. Kori braced herself, ready for the clash of powers, knowing that this battle, between sisters, was inevitable.

The skies above the capital of Tamaran darkened as Koriand'r and Komand'r clashed in a whirlwind of energy and emotion. Each blow exchanged between the two sisters was not just physical, but layered with years of history, betrayal, and pain.

Kori was defensive, her posture soft yet resolute. "Komi," she called out, her voice strained as she deflected her sister's dark energy blasts, "you don't need to do this! You didn't fail us. It was the Citadel that tore our world apart!"

Komand'r's eyes burned with anger as she hurled another blast toward her sister. "You don't understand!" she shouted, her voice cracking with a bitterness born from years of regret. "I chose to betray Tamaran, to side with them! I was weak, and the people suffered because of it. I should be punished!"

Kori spun mid-air, avoiding the strike, her own energy flaring around her. She pushed forward, unleashing a series of rapid starbolts aimed to disarm rather than harm her sister. "You think this will fix anything?" Kori yelled, her voice pleading. "Komi, you are not the monster you think you are!"

Komand'r's eyes narrowed, her fists glowing with dark energy as she rushed toward Kori, striking with a power fueled by her guilt. "You call yourself a queen, Koriand'r? Then you should know that a queen must punish those who have committed crimes.....especially when the guilty one is herself!"

Kori blocked her sister's attack but staggered back from the force. The pain in Komand'r's voice tore at her heart. She saw beyond the anger and realized that her sister wasn't fighting out of hate, but out of self loathing. "You're not beyond redemption!" Kori insisted, her energy shimmering brightly. "You don't need to be punished—you need to heal!"

Komand'r growled, surging forward with renewed fury. "You still don't get it, do you?" she spat, striking at Kori with every ounce of her strength. "This is not about redemption! This is about justice! I hurt our people! I betrayed you! I chose power and greed over my family, over our home!" Her eyes welled with tears even as her attacks remained relentless.

Kori's heart ached as she struggled to defend herself, absorbing the brunt of Komi's assault. Each strike from her sister was filled with more than just power—it carried years of pent-up guilt and anguish. Kori understood now. This was more than a battle; it was a reckoning for both of them.

"You want me to punish you," Kori said, her voice softening despite the chaos around them. "You think that's what I should do as a queen, as your sister." She paused, her eyes locking with Komand'r's. "But I don't believe in punishing you for something that wasn't entirely your fault."

Komand'r lashed out again, tears streaming down her face. "You think I deserve forgiveness?!" she screamed. "You think this is something I can just move past?!"

Kori dodged, her body glowing brighter as she found her resolve. "Yes!" she shouted back. "Because I love you, Komi! I never stopped loving you, even when you turned against me. Even when you betrayed our people!"

Komand'r's dark energy flared violently, but there was hesitation in her strikes now, her movements slowing as Kori's words hit her deeper than any attack could. "You don't get it," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I can't forgive myself. I can't let this go."

Kori floated in front of her sister, lowering her defenses. "Then let me help you," she said softly. "But killing you won't fix anything. It won't heal our people. It won't bring back what we've lost."

For a moment, there was silence. The air between them hung heavy with the weight of unspoken truths. Komand'r's fists faltered, her energy dimming as the guilt that had fueled her began to wane. But in its place, a deeper pain remained—a pain that only she could understand.

Raiden, watching from the sidelines, had remained silent throughout, his arms crossed. He understood the lesson Komand'r was trying to teach. As a ruler, Koriand'r needed to learn that justice sometimes demanded punishment, even when the heart sought forgiveness. But he would not interfere. This was her battle to fight.

Kori finally spoke again, her voice firm. "You're right, Komi," she said, her tone shifting from compassion to resolve. "As queen, I need to make hard decisions. I need to protect our people—and that means holding those who've wronged them accountable."

Kori's words made Komand'r freeze, her eyes widening with both relief and fear. She had expected death. She had wanted it. But instead, her sister was offering something else.

"I will not kill you, Komand'r," Kori declared, her voice carrying the weight of her new title. "Death is too easy, too quick of an escape. You will face justice, but not the kind you seek."

Komand'r blinked in confusion, her energy fading as she hovered in the air before her sister. "What… what do you mean?" she asked, her voice shaky.

Kori's expression hardened. "You will be sentenced to twenty years in prison for your betrayal, and once you've served your time, you will dedicate fifty years of service to the Tamaranian Crown."

Komand'r's eyes widened in shock. "You're… sparing me?"

"No," Kori replied firmly. "I'm holding you accountable. You will spend the rest of your life rebuilding what you helped destroy. You will face our people and serve them, not as a ruler, but as a soldier who fights for the future of Tamaran."

Tears filled Komand'r's eyes as the weight of her sister's judgment fell upon her. It wasn't the punishment she had wanted, but it was the justice she needed. Slowly, she nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "I accept… my queen."

Koriand'r, Queen of Tamaran, floated down gently, extending a hand to her sister. "This is not the end, Komi. It's a new beginning—for both of us."
