In a far away corner of the galaxy, the oppressive atmosphere of Apokolips hung heavy, its skies choked with fire and ash. Massive, jagged towers of metal loomed in the distance, casting eerie shadows across the war-torn landscape. In the heart of this infernal planet, within the grand throne room, stood Darkseid—The Lord of Apokolips, The God of Tyranny. His colossal form exuded raw power, his red, glowing eyes piercing through the dim light that filled the room.
Before him, kneeling with utmost reverence, was his trusted advisor, Desaad. Clad in his ominous robes, the figure of Desaad trembled slightly, knowing full well the expectations that his master had of him.
"My Lord," Desaad's voice quivered, a mixture of fear and respect. "The conquest is complete. All of your legions are back. The Parademons, the Furies, every soldier and general—all ready to resume their true purpose."
Desaad lifted his gaze slightly, observing Darkseid's unreadable expression. Even in his terror, there was a sense of pride. The dark god had conquered countless worlds, bending civilizations to his will. Their armies had been absorbed, their resources plundered, and their very essence consumed by Apokolips. Everything was going according to plan.
Darkseid remained silent for a moment, his gaze fixed far beyond the walls of his domain, staring into the vast expanse of space as if he could already see the next world to fall under his dominion. Earth.
A low, rumbling chuckle emanated from him, his smile as cold as the void. "Good. The time has come," Darkseid finally spoke, his voice like a force of nature, commanding attention and fear. "Earth will be next. The invasion begins."
Desaad, still on his knees, dared to look up further, his eyes gleaming with the sickly satisfaction of knowing his master's long-awaited plan was in motion. "Shall we prepare for full-scale war, my lord?"
Darkseid's smile widened, though it never reached his eyes. "Yes. But this time, it is more than just conquest."
He took a step forward, his boots echoing against the stone floor of his throne room. "Raiden Kagawa... the one who stands between me and the Anti-Life Equation. His reign will come to an end. The fool thinks himself a king. But soon, he will understand the true meaning of power."
The mention of Raiden's name brought a moment of hesitation in Desaad. The stories of Raiden Kagawa's exploits had spread across the stars, even reaching the ears of Apokolips. This 'king' had been responsible for uniting much of Earth under one banner, a feat that impressed even the most cynical generals of Apokolips. But Darkseid saw beyond the mortal ambitions.
"He dares defy me. He stands in my way," Darkseid continued, his tone seething with contempt. "But no man can stop the inevitable. The Anti-Life Equation belongs to me. And Raiden's resistance, no matter how great, will fall just like the others."
Darkseid turned, his gaze now fully directed at Desaad. "Prepare the legions. Unleash the Furies. Let the Parademons blacken the skies of Earth. And when the invasion begins, ensure Raiden Kagawa knows this truth...there is no escape from Darkseid."
.....
In the grand expanse of Raiden's throne room, perched high above the clouds within the mystical Hanging Gardens, a serene atmosphere filled the air. Flowers gently floated around, petals dancing in the soft breeze that circulated through the ancient walls. The sky beyond the throne was clear and bright, with the golden light of the setting sun casting an ethereal glow over everything.
Merlin appeared from the shadows, his robes trailing softly behind him as he stepped forward. A gentle flurry of flower petals floated around him, his presence as mysterious as ever. His eyes, deep with wisdom, settled on Raiden, who sat atop his throne with the weight of the world on his shoulders. The gentle breeze brought with it an air of calm, though Raiden could already sense the gravity of what was about to be said.
"My Lord," Merlin's voice broke through the tranquil atmosphere. "I have received some news from the skies."
Raiden's eyes narrowed at those words. His instincts sharpened, and with a swift motion, he waved off the remaining advisors and generals standing before him. The throne room quickly emptied, leaving only Merlin and Da Vinci by his side. The other members of Raiden's trusted entourage were preoccupied with their own tasks, leaving the core of his council alone to handle what was to come.
Merlin stepped closer, the petals continuing to float in his wake, and his voice dropped to a more serious tone. "Darkseid... he has finally amassed his full army and recalled them. The invasion will soon begin."
Raiden's face darkened at the mention of Darkseid. His greatest enemy, the one whose shadow loomed over everything he had built. He had been preparing for this moment, but hearing it confirmed left a knot in his chest.
"What of the Green Lanterns?" Raiden asked, leaning forward on his throne, his fingers tapping thoughtfully on the armrest.
Merlin's gaze flickered for a moment before he continued. "The Green Lanterns have agreed to join your forces. However, they request one thing—any information you possess about them must be buried forever under your name, as the King of Gaia."
Raiden considered this for a moment before nodding. "I'll agree to that. It's a small price to pay for their assistance in what's coming."
Merlin's lips curled slightly into a knowing smile. "There is more, my lord. The Blue Lanterns, too, have declared their loyalty to your cause. They will fight alongside you when the time comes."
Raiden leaned back into his throne, his expression softening for a brief moment. "The Blue Lanterns... I am grateful for their support."
He let the thought hang in the air for a moment, his mind already shifting to the next crucial point.
"And Earth?" he asked, turning his attention to Da Vinci, who had been observing the conversation with her ever-present curiosity.
Da Vinci smiled, her eyes bright with confidence. "It's time, Raiden. Most of the European nations have now fully aligned themselves with Gaia. The corrupt organizations that once plagued the continent have either been dismantled or... persuaded to fall in line with your vision. Your influence has spread far and wide."
Merlin nodded in agreement, stepping forward once again. "Indeed. Your enemies have been weakened, and the people now believe in you. But there are still the Big Three: China, Russia, and the United States."
Raiden's eyes gleamed with a quiet determination as he absorbed the news. It was everything he had been waiting for. His kingdom had flourished, grown into something beyond what anyone could have imagined. The time for subtlety was nearing its end.
A slow, calculating smile spread across his face. "It's about time," Raiden said, his voice filled with purpose and strength. "The King shall make his move."
Merlin and Da Vinci exchanged a glance, knowing full well what was to come next. The world had changed under Raiden's reign, and now the final steps were being set in motion. The tides of power were shifting, and soon, Gaia would stand at the pinnacle of the new world order.
....
Around the world, a devastating attack unfolded as military bases belonging to the Big Three—China, Russia, and the United States—were decimated, leaving the world in shock and horror. The destruction was swift, coordinated, and executed with the precision of a master tactician.
In China, the infamous Guangzhou Military Command Base, known for housing some of the country's most advanced weapons, was utterly dismantled. Further south, the Hainan Submarine Base, China's pride for its strategic naval capabilities, was wiped out, its powerful submarines turned to ash.
In Russia, the sprawling Vladivostok Naval Base, one of the most heavily fortified naval strongholds in the Eastern Pacific, fell in moments. The Moscow Strategic Missile Command, responsible for overseeing Russia's nuclear deterrent, was reduced to a charred ruin.
Across the Atlantic, in the United States, the vast Norfolk Naval Base, the largest of its kind in the world, saw its entire fleet disintegrated before anyone could react. The sprawling Fort Bragg, home to elite forces of the U.S. Army, found itself leveled to nothing but rubble. In the Pacific, the infamous Pearl Harbor Naval Base, which had stood as a symbol of American resilience, was obliterated in seconds.
Above each destroyed base, floating majestically in the sky, stood the figure responsible for this unimaginable devastation—a pale, white-skinned man adorned in divine armor that shimmered under the moonlight. His radiant form exuded an ethereal glow, with a golden crown upon his head, his eyes cold as flames of hell ignited across the battlefield. His armor gleamed in red and gold, a masterwork of celestial craftsmanship, with a flowing cape like fire streaking through the air. This was Raiden—transformed into his "Karna" form
As Raiden hovered above the smoldering wreckage, his arm stretched out, releasing his heavenly power over the Earth. His legendary lance, capable of scorching even the strongest forces, tore through bases like they were mere toys. The equipment, tanks, planes, ships, and submarines that once symbolized global power were reduced to mere embers. He uprooted them, set them aflame, and eradicated them with absolute precision.
However, no lives were lost in this cataclysm. The men stationed at these bases, soldiers, engineers, and officers, were teleported away at the last moment by Merlin's magic. They watched in stunned silence as the installations they had sworn to defend were razed to the ground by an unrelenting force beyond human comprehension.
In a matter of hours, Billions of dollars worth of military equipment, weapons, and vehicles lay in ruin. The devastation was total and complete, a spectacle that rocked the world to its core. The impossible had happened—military bases considered untouchable had been annihilated in broad daylight, without warning, without mercy.
The world's shock was palpable, and all fingers pointed to one man.
It was an attack like never before. The nations of the world trembled, knowing exactly who was behind it.
The suspect of these unprecedented attacks?
King Raiden Kagawa.
The message was clear. Raiden had demonstrated the scale of his power, not through needless bloodshed, but through the complete destruction of the very institutions that once thought they held sway over the world.
He had taken the first step in showing them the futility of resisting.
...
In an instant, every smartphone, television, computer, and screen across the world flickered and was hijacked by Da Vinci's technological mastery. No one was spared from what unfolded next. Whether in the comfort of their homes, on their daily commute, or in offices, everyone's attention was drawn to the screens. The image shifted to Raiden—still in his towering Karna form—standing with divine poise. His armor gleamed, and behind him, a long line of bound individuals, their heads lowered in defeat, filled the frame.
These were no ordinary people. Military leaders, high-ranking generals, prominent politicians, civil servants, and even journalists from the United States, Russia, and China stood restrained. Recognized faces sent waves of shock through the viewers. Among the captured was Gordon Godfrey, a famous news reporter known for his brash criticisms, and Granny Goodness, beloved by children as a sweet TV personality. Their presence, bound and subdued, was both confusing and disturbing to the masses. What were these respected figures doing there, tied up like criminals?
Raiden's voice boomed across the airwaves, his presence commanding. "Today marks the beginning of a united Earth, and those who have stood in opposition will face the consequences."
A ripple of surprise and confusion spread through those watching. Some of the arrested figures were well-known supporters of Raiden's reign, people who had publicly endorsed his leadership. Why, then, were they paraded as prisoners? Raiden's eyes narrowed, and his tone turned grim as he continued.
"You all have been led to believe that these figures were on your side. But I tell you this—they have betrayed not only you but the entire planet. Earth stands on the verge of annihilation. A war is coming that threatens not just one nation, but the survival of the entire planet. And those who are here," he motioned behind him to the captured, "are not who they appear to be. They are spies, enemies among us sent to weaken Earth from within."
As Raiden spoke, Merlin, with a wave of his hand, used his magic to dispel the illusions that masked the true identities of the prisoners. Before the eyes of billions of viewers, the prisoners' appearances shifted, revealing their true forms—agents of Apokolips. Their humanoid disguises melted away, replaced with monstrous, otherworldly forms. Their skin was rough and scaly, eyes burning with hatred, and twisted grins adorned their faces. Shock, horror, and disbelief washed over the people watching.
"These beings," Raiden declared, "were sent by the forces of Apokolips to infiltrate our world, to destabilize and destroy from within. But I will not let that happen."
Without another word, Raiden raised his hand, and in a blinding flash of red-hot flames, the agents of Apokolips were engulfed, their bodies disintegrating into ash. The world watched in stunned silence as the traitors were eliminated in mere seconds.
The screen flickered again, now showing files, documents, and pieces of evidence flashing in rapid succession. Each piece of evidence exposed the spies' true intentions, revealing years of infiltration, sabotage, and deceit. The documents showed communications, plans, and plots orchestrated by the Big Three—Russia, China, and the United States—to undermine Raiden's rule. Every spy, every operation was meticulously detailed, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that these countries had been trying to destabilize Raiden's kingdom.
Raiden's gaze hardened, and his voice grew colder as he addressed the leaders of the Big Three. "To Russia, China, and the United States—your endless attempts to undermine and sabotage Gaia, my kingdom, have been laid bare for all to see. Every plot, every spy, and every secret you've tried to hide has now been exposed. This is the result of your arrogance and your refusal to see reason."
He turned his attention back to the people watching worldwide. "These nations claim to want peace and stability, but they don't. They want control. They want to enslave you, to keep you under their rule while they hide behind lies. They have no interest in saving the world or protecting you. But I do."
The world listened in rapt attention as Raiden delivered his final message. "The power now lies in your hands. If you wish to remain under their rule, so be it. But if you desire true freedom, if you want to be part of a united Earth that stands strong against the forces that threaten to destroy it, then join me. I will free you—but only if you choose it."
As Raiden finished his address, the screen flickered off, leaving the world in stunned silence. A choice had been laid before them. Would they remain loyal to their current governments, knowing the truth of their corruption and collusion with forces seeking Earth's destruction? Or would they rise, choosing Raiden's vision of a unified, free world under his protection?
