A Few Weeks Before the United Nations of Gaia Meeting

....

The basement of Bialya's royal castle was, to say the least, nothing special: dusty stone walls, dim lighting courtesy of a few scattered lamps, and the creak of old wood every now and then. It was the perfect setting for what Raiden and Merlin had in store. Crates and old artifacts filled the room to its length, but at the middle, some space had been left free. There was a table before them, cluttered with rare materials, arcane instruments, and vials full of luminous liquid, all prepared well in advance by Raiden.

Raiden stood next to Merlin, his gaze fixed at the table, as were Merlin's. It was ready. It was time to begin.

"You sure about this?" Raiden asked, not hiding his skepticism.

Merlin smiled as always, a mischievous glint in his eye. "What, you doubt my abilities? I think you underestimate just how much fun this is going to be."

"Fun for you, maybe, For all I know, you're doing this to laze about and lesson your work!" Raiden said as he sighed and stepped forward, focusing his mind for the task at hand. This wasn't his first time summoning a Specific Servant, but while it wasn't particularly elaborate, the precision still needed was immense.

Raiden raised his hand and, summoning the mana within him, he started the summon. For just a moment, the air around him shimmered, and the next instance, his body transformed into none other than Paracelsus von Hohenheim: the great alchemist.

In Raiden's mind, Paracelsus greeted him, his voice calm and composed. 'It's good to see you again, Raiden. But I can't help but wonder why you've summoned me this time. Your recent battles are far beyond my capabilities.'

Raiden's voice, echoed in his mind 'We need you for something far more important than battle, Hohenheim. We need you to create something only you can.....humunculi. Merlin and I have a plan, one that requires your expertise as an alchemist'

Paracelsus' curiosity piqued as Raiden explained the full plan to him 'A suitable homunculus to host me, to anchor my existence? That's an intriguing concept. With Merlin's magic and your connection to the Throne of Heroes, it might just work. I take it the materials are ready?'

'Of course,' Raiden replied. 'Everything's in place. We just need to create a vessel that will be suitable for you to inhabit. Make sure it's in your preferred Image…Once it's ready, Merlin will apply an engraving that will anchor your spirit to it.'

'Fascinating! Well of course, Just like last time, I shall guide you, and you do the heavy work!' spoke Hoenheim, somewhat excited about the idea of returning to life, he had many experiments and work that he never got the chance to finish!

Raiden took immediate control, his actions quick and punctual. He worked with precision, gathering the prepared materials and starting the chemical process involved. The rare metals, the gemstones imbued with enchantments, specially distilled fluids mixed with mana.....the homunculus was created. Complex but familiar to Raiden was this procedure; he had done it before. As time passed, the homunculus began to take shape, sprouting from an idea into a living, breathing vessel.

Merlin watched in silence as Raiden worked, for once not smirking but instead closer to admiration. He knew Raiden could handle this task, though his own role would come soon enough.

Once the form of the homunculus was complete, Paracelsus observed the result through Raiden's eyes. "Magnificent. It's perfect."

Raiden stepped back, and Merlin moved in, stepping forward to add his own contribution. With a quick flick of his wrist, Merlin began to inscribe a glowing rune across the chest of the homunculus, etching carefully into the intricate design that would serve as an anchor to Paracelsus' spirit. The engraving pulsed with power as it connected Raiden's magic, linking the homunculus to him directly.

"Just about finished!" Merlin said, stepping back with a satisfied smile. "Now all that's left is to transfer him"

Raiden concentrated his magic once more, and with one last burst of energy, the spirit of Paracelsus began to flow from Raiden's form into the newly created homunculus. It was a smooth transfer, almost seamless, as the anchor engraving did its work, binding Paracelsus into his new body.

It opened its eyes, heaved a deep breath as life coursed through it. Standing, Paracelsus stretched his new hands and wiggled them in wonder at the feel of his remade body. With a mixture of gratitude and amazement, he turned to Raiden. "I must say, this is even better than I imagined," he said, his voice now coming from his new form. "I owe you both for this.

Raiden merely nodded slightly. "Be prepared. This is only the beginning."

Now with Paracelsus's body perfected, and the idea of summoning servants was possible, Raiden, Merlin, Scáthach and Paracelsus started their discussions on who to summon

After a moment of silence, Scathach broke it, her voice direct and firm, as always. "If we're planning to summon more Servants to aid in Raiden's campaign, we should consider warriors. We need strength, not just intellect. King Arthur, Brynhildr, or Arjuna could provide the power we need."

Raiden listened carefully, nodding slightly at her suggestions. Warriors of their caliber were indeed impressive allies in battle, and given the enemies they'd faced so far, additional combat strength was tempting. But before Raiden could speak, Merlin was already shaking his head, stepping forward to counter her argument.

"Not a chance," Merlin said, his voice laced with certainty. "You're thinking like a warrior, Scathach, but we must think more strategically. Summoning a powerful fighter like King Arthur or Brynhildr would demand an immense amount of mana…..far more than Raiden can afford to supply. He's still needed in future battles, and if we drain his energy keeping a powerful warrior materialized, we'll only weaken him."

Scathach narrowed her eyes slightly, but didn't argue further. She understood the logic, but that didn't mean she had to like it.

Raiden sighed and leaned back, the weight of his responsibilities feeling heavier with each passing day. He hadn't said much, simply observing the conversation between Merlin and Scathach. But now, he spoke up, his voice steady.

"So, what's your plan then, Merlin? If we can't summon warriors, who do you suggest?"

Merlin's smirk widened as he looked around the room, clearly enjoying the moment. "We need Servants like Paracelsus.....scientists, mages, people who don't require a lot of mana but can still offer immense utility. I have just the candidate in mind. Semiramis, the Queen of Assyria, famed for her unparalleled skill in poisons, and of course… her creation….. the Hanging Gardens of Babylon."

Raiden raised an eyebrow, but before he could respond, Merlin continued, his tone taking on a playful edge. "She's arrogant, prideful, and greedy. But she's also fiercely loyal to kings…..especially powerful ones." Merlin gestured towards Raiden with a mischievous grin. "And you, Raiden, certainly fit that description."

Raiden scowled, clearly unamused by Merlin's suggestion. "I already have my queens. I don't need another one."

Merlin chuckled, clearly enjoying Raiden's annoyance. "A king is never satisfied with just one queen, my dear Raiden. After all, you're not ruling a mere nation. This is the world you plan to conquer. You'll need more than just strength in battle….you need influence, intelligence, and loyalty. Semiramis can offer that in spades."

Scathach glanced at Raiden, her expression unreadable, but her silence suggested that she was weighing Merlin's words carefully. As much as she detested the idea of relying on someone like Semiramis, Merlin's logic was sound.

Raiden, however, remained unconvinced. "I don't need to collect queens like trophies, Merlin. I'm focused on the mission at hand. If Semiramis is as arrogant as you say, she'll be more trouble than she's worth."

Merlin shrugged, his grin not fading. "Perhaps. But she's also one of the most useful allies we can summon in this situation. Her loyalty to powerful kings will work in your favor. And let's not forget, she's the one who can create the Hanging Gardens…..something that will be vital in the future."

Raiden sighed again, feeling the weight of Merlin's argument pressing on him. He knew Merlin was right, but the idea of bringing someone like Semiramis into the fold wasn't exactly appealing.

"Fine," Raiden said, standing up. "But if she turns out to be more of a headache than an asset, I'm holding you responsible."

Merlin chuckled. "Oh, don't worry. I have no doubt she'll fit right in."

"So, who else?" Raiden asked "If we're summoning more Servants, we'll need another addition."

Paracelsus, still adjusting to his new homunculus body, spoke up with a calm, measured tone. "If I may offer a suggestion," he began, glancing at Raiden and then Merlin. "I believe another scientist or mage would be beneficial. Someone who can assist me in the more technical aspects of our work. Perhaps a figure like Nikola Tesla or even Albert Einstein. They were both brilliant minds of their times"

Raiden considered it, but Merlin, with his usual mischievous smile, quickly interrupted. "Ah, while Tesla and Einstein are certainly impressive, I have someone even better in mind," Merlin said, waving his hand dismissively at Paracelsus's suggestion. "Someone who isn't just confined to one area of expertise. Someone who transcends science, art, and invention."

Raiden arched an eyebrow. "And who would that be?"

Merlin's eyes gleamed with excitement as he leaned forward. "Leonardo da Vinci."

Raiden blinked, taken aback. "Da Vinci? The painter? How does that help us?"

Merlin grinned, clearly enjoying the moment. "Oh, Da Vinci was far more than just a painter. He was a polymath in the truest sense....a master of countless disciplines. An inventor, an engineer, an artist, and a scientist. His mind is one of the greatest the world has ever known, and his expertise spans everything from architecture to weaponry to philosophy. He's the ultimate Renaissance man."

Paracelsus nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Da Vinci's brilliance would be an invaluable asset to our cause. His innovations could propel our efforts forward in ways we can't even begin to imagine."

Raiden leaned back, still somewhat skeptical but intrigued. "And Da Vinci is a Servant?"

"Absolutely," Merlin confirmed. "A Caster-class, no less. His intellectual prowess, combined with his versatility, makes him the perfect addition. He won't just help with science...he'll revolutionize everything he touches."

Raiden crossed his arms, considering the suggestion. Da Vinci's genius, if it could be harnessed, would undoubtedly provide an edge. But he also knew that someone so brilliant could be unpredictable and difficult to control.

"So, what's his personality like?" Raiden asked, still wary.

Merlin chuckled. "Well, let's just say Da Vinci has a bit of an ego. He's confident in his abilities, as he should be, but he's also loyal to strong and worthy leaders. If you play your cards right, Raiden, he'll respect you...and once you have that, you'll have his full support."

Paracelsus chimed in, his voice steady. "Da Vinci's mind is unparalleled, and with the proper direction, he could be the key to solving some of the more complex problems we face."

Raiden sighed, shaking his head. "Alright, fine. We'll summon him next. But I don't need another arrogant genius on my hands, Merlin."

Merlin chuckled softly, clearly pleased with the decision. "Trust me, Raiden, you'll find him worth every bit of trouble. Da Vinci is not just an asset.....he's a game changer."

Raiden, though still skeptical, gave a firm nod. "Let's hope you're right. Because this world we're building needs more than warriors....we need minds like his."
