Everyone in the world was in joy, even though only a moment before they had faced absolute desperation. The entire world watched in real time as the battle unfolded before their eyes, holding their collective breath, eyes wide in shock and incredulity. News stations, social media, and every means of communication were filled with updates. People had gathered in cities, towns, and villages, huddled around screens of all sizes, waiting to see the fate of their planet.
Most of them had thought it was over. It felt like the end. No one had ever seen the Justice League stretched this hard, not to this limit. They were Earth's mightiest defenders, unshakable titans who stood between humanity and the apocalypse, yet this threat had driven them to their knees. No one could believe it! Superman bruised and battered, an almost dead Wonder Woman and an out of tricks Batman! Desperation hung in the air, as thick as smoke, and for one fleeting, awful moment, people were beginning to accept the unthinkable…..that this time, the Justice League was not going to emerge unscathed.
Even the New hero, the one proclaimed as King Raiden had failed, twice already! But unlike the others….He rose again. He had been beaten down, battered, and put to his knees, but he had never given up. The Justice League, even being pushed to the limit of human endurance, had bought him the time he needed to recover. And then, in that final and critical moment, Raiden had returned, stronger than before, his resolve unshaken, and delivered with a final blow to save them all. This threat was gone, and the Earth had been spared because of him
The world erupted in joy at the end of this fight, celebrations in the streets, news reports explaining the sitation in happiness, Earth has survived another day!
One of such places was the internet! It had blown up by responses from every inch of the globe.

Martian Manhunter: A founding member of the League, a hero who left his home to protect ours, gave his life in defense of Earth. Rest in peace, J'onn J'onzz
Zatara: A guardian against mystical threats, who time and time again defended our world. Today, he made the ultimate sacrifice to save us all. Rest in peace, Giovanni Zatara.
These heroes will never be forgotten, Please Join us in three days to honor their memories]
….
The funeral was held in the heart of Metropolis, where a stunning memorial had been built in memory of the fallen heroes. The skies were thick with gray clouds a reflection of the serious mood overhanging the assembly. Stretching across the field were rows of chairs, each filled with civilians, dignitaries, and most importantly of all, heroes. Present were all the members of the Justice League, their condition acting as a haunting reminder of a battle that they had barely survived.
Raiden stood to one side, resting on a crutch, while his body still tried to recover from the huge strain during the fight. The usual commanding presence was gone, replaced by sadness, his face filled with the weight of what was lost, almost as if he was blaming himself, To his left sat Wonder Woman, her right arm heavily bandaged, the hand gone, lost in the final moments of the battle. There was an air about her, but the sorrow was inescapable in her eyes as her left hand wrapped around Raiden, comforting him
Superman stood at the forefront, the stress of the battle reflected in his face. His face was solemn but composed, not reflecting the toil of the conflict. Aquaman sat next to him, the burns mostly healed but still visible in patches on his arms and neck. He sat in silence next to his comrades, sharing in the weight of the loss.
Zatanna sat near the front, her eyes red from crying, her body shaking with sobs for her father, Giovanni Zatara. Nightwing stood beside her, his arm thrown gently around her shoulder, holding her up as much as offering support. The normally dynamic magician seemed diminutive, almost fragile, as she wrung a handkerchief and fixed her gaze on the portrait of the man who had been larger than life and was now memory.
Not far from her, Megan sat, Martian Manhunter's niece, unabashed tears streaming down her green cheeks; she, too, had lost a part of her family, and beside her sat Connor, Superboy, holding her hand in wordless support. On his stoic mask, the ache of shared pain silently hurt.
Standing at the back of the assembly was Green Lantern John Stewart, his fists clenched at his sides. His face was shrouded in guilt and anger. On the tail end of the battle, he had tried to save J'onn but couldn't. That weight of failure gnawed at him as his power ring glowed softly, quickly turning to his emotions. "I should have been quicker. I should have done more, I shouldn't have listened to what he asked of me .," he grumbled low, the frustration evident in his tone. Despite his fellow heroes' reassurances good-natured as they were, John could not help the feeling he had let his friend down.
The gentle hum of the crowd was silenced as Batman stepped forward to deliver the eulogy. He stood tall, his cape draped behind him, his cowl masking any outward sign of emotion, though those closest to him knew how much this day weighed on him.
"We stand here today, not just as heroes, but as survivors," Batman began in a gravely toned voice that rumbled throughout the crowd. "We fought a battle that we, by all accounts, shouldn't have survived. It was a war unlike anything we've faced before. Many of us walked away with wounds that will take time to heal-both physical and emotional."
His eyes swept over the assembled heroes, lingering briefly on Superman, Wonder Woman, Raiden, and several others who had bled and fought in that final battle.
"But today doesn't belong to those of us who remained. It belongs to the heroes that gave all, J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and Giovanni Zatara. They had not only fought for the salvation of the world but had given their lives so the future of every single one of us standing here today was secured."
The audience remained silent, pending his every word.
"J'onn was more than a founding member of the League. He was an ally, a mentor, and a friend to every one of us. He left his home to make Earth his own and gave his life to protect the people he came to care for. His sacrifice will never be forgotten."
Batman paused for a moment, now his eyes on Zatanna, who struggled to hold back more tears.
"Giovanni Zatara-a hero who used magic to protect our world from things most of us can't even hope to comprehend. He was a father, a friend, a protector. His legacy continues on through his daughter, Zatanna, and through all the lives he touched."
The silence fell heavier, and then a soft breeze rustled through the crowd, as if the world itself was paying its respects.
"Today, we remember them-but not their deaths, but for their lives and for what they gave so that we might continue to live. It is they who have given the Justice League its survival. It is they who have given the world its future. And it is they who are the true heroes of this fight."
Batman's tone took on a gentler note, the weight of the words clear in the air. "Rest in peace, J'onn J'onzz. Rest in peace, Giovanni Zatara. You will never be forgotten."
With that, he stepped back, the crowd still wrapped in the deep quiet of loss, as the memory of the fallen heroes settled into the heart of each and every one of them present.
