"Aqualad!" Wonder Girl screamed, tears streaming down her face as she knelt beside him.

Aquaman's fury boiled over. With a roar, he charged Steppenwolf, his trident gleaming with power. He drove the weapon into Steppenwolf's face, piercing one of his glowing red eyes. Blood sprayed from the wound as Steppenwolf howled in pain, staggering back.

"You'll pay for this!" Aquaman shouted, pulling the trident free and striking again, each blow fueled by his grief and rage.

Wonder Woman joined the assault, her prosthetic arm crackling with divine lightning. She punched Steppenwolf with enough force to dent his armor, the impact sending shockwaves through the bunker. The metal of her arm groaned under the strain, eventually shattering, but she didn't stop.

Wonder Girl flew in from above, her fists wreathed in golden energy. She struck Steppenwolf repeatedly, her anger and sorrow driving each blow. "This is for Aqualad!" she cried, her voice shaking with emotion.

Steppenwolf, bloodied and beaten, stumbled back. He raised a trembling hand to the sky, signaling his ship. The vessel descended, its claws reaching for him as he leaped aboard.

"You won't escape!" Wonder Girl shouted, ready to give chase.

From the bunker, voices rose in unison. "Go! Go after him! Avenge the Hero of Paris!"

The heroes hesitated, their grief warring with their duty. Wonder Woman placed a hand on Aquaman's shoulder, her eyes filled with determination. "We'll make this right," she said, her voice steady despite the tears brimming in her eyes.

They nodded to each other, their resolve strengthened by Aqualad's sacrifice.

In a smaller ship from the Gaia fleet, the heroes soared after Steppenwolf, their hearts heavy but their determination unshaken.

The pursuit was relentless, the warlord's ship streaking across the skies. Wonder Woman piloted the craft with precision, her eyes locked on their target.

"There's no escape for him," Aquaman said, his trident glowing in his hand.

Steppenwolf's ship weaved through the air, but the heroes closed the distance. Aquaman leaned out, his rage guiding his aim as he hurled his trident. The weapon tore through the ship's hull, causing it to shudder violently.

Steppenwolf was flung from the cockpit, his body slamming into the desert sands below. He scrambled to his feet, bloodied but defiant, and ran toward the massive dreadnought looming in the distance.

On the ground near the ship, Captain Marvel stood alone, her fists crackling with energy. Around her were the unconscious forms of Green Arrow and Megan, and Dinah Lance's lifeless body.

Aquaman's breath hitched. "Dinah…"

Steppenwolf's voice rang out, filled with rage and desperation. "We are ending everyone!"

Brola, his younger brother, stood before the dreadnought, his imposing figure casting a long shadow. He raised an eyebrow, his tone mocking. "I see how it is, brother."

"Kali!" Steppenwolf screamed, his voice cracking.

Brola nodded in understanding. "Yuga."

Together, they declared in chilling unison: "Shall end here.

We are Kalki."

As the word "Kalki" was uttered, the world shifted. A suffocating darkness enveloped the desert, and the air grew heavy as if reality itself had bent under an immense, unseen weight. Everyone looked around in alarm, finding themselves transported to a twisted, alien expanse. The sand beneath their feet was gone, replaced by jagged, obsidian terrain that pulsed faintly with an ominous red glow.

Before them, the forms of Brola and Steppenwolf merged, their bodies contorting and warping into something monstrous. The process was grotesque—Steppenwolf's savage visage expanded, his glowing red eyes multiplying into four piercing orbs. Massive horns erupted from his skull, curling menacingly upward. His frame grew larger, broader, as four arms burst forth, each wielding a weapon of destruction: a scimitar, an ax, a spear, and a halberd, all glowing with an unholy light.

The armor of this abomination bore the regal design of Brola's, yet it was darker, more oppressive, exuding malice. The monstrous figure mounted a towering, shadowy steed, its eyes burning with fiery hatred. The beast snorted, and each exhale sent shockwaves rippling through the alien landscape.

The being spoke, its voice a cacophony of thunder and grinding stone:

"You are in the presence of Kalki. Pillar of the End. Honored by Darkseid. We shall end the cycle. We shall end Kali Yuga."

Everyone felt it immediately—a crushing dread emanating from Kalki, pressing down on their hearts and minds. The sheer presence of this monstrosity sapped their strength, filling them with an instinctual fear they had never known.

Aquaman was the first to charge, his grief and rage driving him forward. He raised his trident high, summoning a massive storm. Thunder roared, and torrential rain poured from the blackened skies, lightning crashing down around Kalki. "You won't take another step!" he roared, hurling his trident with all his might.

The trident struck true, but Kalki merely raised one of his weapons—the halberd—and deflected it with a casual swipe. The force of the deflection sent shockwaves through the battlefield, knocking Aquaman back. Kalki's horse reared, its hooves slamming into the ground and creating fissures that radiated outward.

Wonder Woman stepped forward, her expression grim. She removed her bracelet, allowing her divine form to surface. Her golden armor shimmered with celestial power, and lightning danced around her. Even with her prosthetic arm gone, she was a force to be reckoned with. She launched herself at Kalki, her sword glowing with divine energy.

Kalki parried her blows with terrifying ease, his four weapons moving in perfect harmony. Each strike from the heroes was met with overwhelming force, their attacks deflected or countered with devastating precision.

Shazam joined the fray, shouting "SHAZAM!" to summon the full might of his powers. Thunder roared, and his fists crackled with divine energy as he attacked Kalki relentlessly. But even his strength was no match for the demonic monstrosity. Kalki swatted him aside like a mere insect, sending him crashing into the jagged terrain.

Wonder Girl, her fists still blazing with golden energy, fought alongside Captain Marvel, her strikes landing with incredible force. Yet each attack seemed futile. Kalki's armor absorbed their blows without so much as a dent.

Kalki unleashed his full wrath, his four weapons carving through the battlefield. The scimitar cleaved through the storm clouds summoned by Aquaman, dispersing them in an instant. The spear pierced the earth, creating gaping chasms that swallowed entire portions of the battlefield. The ax and halberd swung in tandem, their arcs creating shockwaves that sent Everyone sprawling.

Aquaman called upon the power of the seas, summoning torrents of water from seemingly nowhere to flood the battlefield. He formed massive waves and hurled them at Kalki, but the monster parted them effortlessly with a single swing of his ax.

Wonder Woman lunged again, her celestial might blazing, but Kalki countered her strike with such force that her sword shattered. She stumbled back, the pain of the clash reverberating through her entire body.

The battle raged on, each hero giving everything they had. Captain Marvel summoned the strength of gods, Wonder Girl fought with the ferocity of her grief, and Aquaman summoned every ounce of power his trident could muster. Yet none of it was enough. Kalki was an unstoppable force, his movements calculated and brutal.

Thy all fell one by one, battered and bloodied, but not broken.

As the battle reached its crescendo, Kalki raised his scimitar high, its blade glowing with malevolent energy. He stood over Wonder Woman, who lay on the ground, her golden armor dented and her breath ragged. She tried to rise, but her body refused to obey.

"This ends with you, Amazon," Kalki declared, his voice dripping with disdain. He brought the scimitar down, aiming to cleave her in two.

But before the blade could strike, a deafening crack echoed through the skies. A fissure of darkness tore through the air near Kalki, radiating an aura of pure malevolence. From the crack emerged a figure shrouded in shadow, its presence more terrifying than anything they had ever faced.

The figure's form was indistinct, its body shifting and writhing as though it were made of living darkness. Its eyes burned like twin suns, radiating malice and destruction. The ground beneath it withered and died as it stepped forward, and the very air seemed to shudder in its wake.

Kalki hesitated, his four eyes narrowing at the intruder. "What is this…?" he growled, his voice tinged with unease.

The shadowed figure stepped through the crack in the sky, and as the darkness peeled away, the heroes' eyes widened in shock. It was not an unknown entity—it was someone they all recognized. Someone they respected, admired, and had once trusted with their lives.

It was Raiden.

Yet, the man who stood before them was not the Raiden they knew. His eyes burned with hatred, his expression twisted with disdain. The noble presence he once exuded was gone, replaced by something cold, ruthless, and unrelenting.

"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! WHERE IS THE SUPREME ONE? WHERE IS DARKSEID?!" Kalki roared, his voice trembling with both fury and fear.

Raiden didn't even glance at him. His gaze was fixed on Kalki with a cold detachment that sent shivers down the spines of the gathered heroes. Slowly, he raised his left hand, a dark sphere of energy forming in his palm.

"Pashupata," Raiden uttered, his voice low and chilling.

The sphere grew, consuming the surrounding darkness, pulling it in as though it were a black hole. The oppressive aura that Kalki radiated was sucked into the sphere, leaving him exposed. Kalki's four arms flailed in desperation as his body began to twist and contort unnaturally.

"No! NO!" Kalki screamed, his voice cracking with terror. His limbs stretched grotesquely, his armor crumpling as if crushed by an unseen force. Blood spurted from his body, only to be drawn into the sphere along with every fragment of his being.

The sight was horrifying. Kalki's form was reduced piece by piece, his screams fading into silence as the black sphere devoured him entirely. Nothing remained—no trace of the so-called Pillar of the End.

The battlefield fell silent, save for the labored breaths of everyone, they suffered to fight against this entity, yet it died with one attack, courtesy of their King

Raiden lowered his hand, the sphere dissipating into nothingness. He stood motionless, his expression unreadable.

Raiden had returned—but at what cost?
