Chapter 50 - Chapter 49: Past VS Future (3)

Although the battle between Dean and Helena is over, the room Dean uses as his office is hard not to notice. How could it not? The outer wall had a very large hole, seemingly the size of ten people when aligned. That man also ordered his subordinates to restore his office again.

Cindy and Leon joined the other workers. So, there was only Arthur, Count Rubel, Dean, Helena and Adhitte who wanted to continue the conversation. They were still waiting for one more personnel.

"Is that blackmailer always so arbitrary with guild work?" Arthur asked out of annoyance as he waited for Kalypt who had not arrived.

Count Rubel heard Arthur's call for Kalypt. "Has that man ever blackmailed you?"

Of course Arthur replied, "Yes, I spent a week's allowance on him."

"You poor bastard."

'This son of a bitch.'

They were seated on the first floor, where the room was very spacious. The mages quickly set up tables and chairs for them to chat. It reminded Arthur of Team C that had been beaten up by Adhitte.

"This reminds me of the C Team that Adhitte beat up. Where are they all? Have they recovered?" Arthur accidentally blurted out in front of all of them.

Dean had already forgotten about the incident. However, Arthur's words made him remember again. He hadn't received any compensation from the Adhitte who attacked them.

"Some are still hospitalized, some are taking early retirement." Dean answered that in a cold tone.

Although it had returned to its usual tone. Still, Dean's attitude would have scared both Leon and Cindy if they were there, fortunately not. Arthur tried to calm Dean down.

"At least they're still alive, Dean. If you want them to recover quickly, you should send them to a healer." Arthur made a comment like that.

This time, it was Count Rubel who represented Dean. "Have you forgotten my lesson, generous Young Duke-nim?" That man seemed to be grinning.

Arthur was confused. "What? What is it?"

Dean just sighed and tried to avert his eyes. However, he accidentally locked eyes with Helena, making him look away again.

"Whether because of your illness or what, you can't think. You forget, assassins have families too? If their identity is revealed at the temple as assassins, they will be hunted down because they have done a lot of dirty work. Even their families could be sentenced to beheading. Then if this guild turns out to be—"

"Okay, I understand. This guild is not registered as a guild for assassins." Arthur interrupted Count Rubel's speech for fear that the two women there would recognize his insensitivity.

Helena smiled. "You look cute when you're intimidated. I want to tease you all the time, sweetie."

Arthur showed an annoyed reaction to Helena's remark. He just looked at Adhitte who was also staring at him. "In that case, can't you ask the main perpetrator of their attack for compensation?"

The four people there stared at Adhitte. Dean only briefly looked away again, watching the workers going up and down from the first floor to the third floor to restore his office.

Arthur thought that Adhitte would immediately reject him and would reply, "Why me?" However, that turned out to be different from his thoughts.

Arthur was surprised. Adhitte easily opened the store. Although only Adhitte and himself could see, but Adhitte's sense of responsibility made Arthur feel that it was not like her.

Adhitte extended her hand to the inventory window. Her hand up to the wrist was missing like a stump in front of people. Dean widened his eyes slightly while Count Rubel opened his mouth wide.

"Where did you lose your hand? Can it be cut off without getting hurt?" Count Rubel was overreacting.

When Adhitte's hand returned to normal to pull some items. He took out some blue and red potions. At first it was just a few, but as time went on, there were more and more.

Adhitte looked back at the store window. She took some potions from there.

[You purchased 20 Large Mana Potions!]

[You purchased 27 Large Health Potions!]

That woman even went as far as buying the shortage. The potions that Adhitte took out filled their table. It almost fell over, but was guarded by Arthur.

Helena tried to ask, "Is this from some kind of inventory you're referring to?"

"Yes, but this is mine personally. The ones you have are for the group." Adhitte answered briefly.

Arthur could see the screen of it all. Even her money was running low, but she was just squandering it. Was leveling in that world easier than her world line?

Dean, who didn't know what Adhitte took out, asked, "What's all this?"

"This is a potion for you. The blue color is for mana enhancement. The red color is for health enhancement. I don't know how to explain it, but it's what I usually take when I'm injured." Adhitte was still explaining briefly.

Dean took one of the red colored bottles, then opened the lid. There was a strange but not disgusting scent that he could smell. "Is this the blood extract of the vampire?"

Helena laughed at that. "You heard me ask her what it is. This is her personal stuff, not my gift. Besides, my blood is not that good at healing people unless that person wants to become a vampire."

That woman replied in her usual playful tone, then winked at Arthur. "Of course mine is better. Would you like to try it, sweetie?"

Arthur shuddered to see Helena like that to him, he immediately approached Count Rubel. "Damn it, what are you doing? Get away, you gay as hell!"

"How carelessly your mouth speaks. I'm straight, you bastard!"

The two people continued to argue, but the other three people did not intervene. Dean was used to the sight of them not getting along. He just continued to ask Adhitte.

"Why are you giving this to me? Is it because that boy mentioned compensation?" Dean said in an unpleasant tone.

「It seems like this guy won't accept all these potions if I call it compensation.」

Arthur again saw Adhitte's thoughts clearly. He immediately stopped his argument with Count Rubel and interrupted them.

"Oh, is that the potion you asked Helena to investigate and mass produce? Then sell it to the surrounding guilds?" Arthur barged in just like that.

Adhitte was confused by Arthur's question. It was like Arthur knew Dean's thoughts as well as hers.

"Yes, that's right. It looks like what Arthur described. Helena has partially extracted it and this is the base material. I brought it from my world. Don't worry, it doesn't have any side effects." Adhitte explained while looking at Arthur, not Dean.

She continued, "So, you know up to that kind of stuff too."

This time, Adhitte's problem regarding the origin of the potion was over. However, a new problem approached Arthur. Dean, who knew that the information about Arthur's blood was a lie, was really surprised. Arthur even knew things from outside that world.

Was the data about the truth of his biological mother and stepmother wrong? Was it actually true that Arthur's mother had that cursed blood as well? However, that was what made him not think that Adhitte was compensating him. It was rather hurtful to him as the guild leader.

"In that case, just distribute it through my guild. I'll draw up a contract letter. Then, Adhitte-nim, you must be registered as a citizen as well if you want to obtain legal rights to anything on this continent." Dean explained as the guild leader.

Adhitte looked at Helena and the woman nodded. "Yes, that's right, dear. I've changed my identity twice in the Tryton Kingdom as a resident. Although many human guilds recognize me as a vampire, but by law, I am still a resident and have trading rights."

Dean was a little offended that for whatever reason, Adhitte seemed to be questioning Helena. It seemed like that woman did not trust the others and only believed in Helena.

Count Rubel, who was annoyed at not continuing the argument with Arthur, followed the conversation. "If you want to be registered as a citizen of the Kingdom of Marithus, you can go through me or Arthur. It's better to go to Arthur because his area there is not as bad as in the other noble areas."

Dean said. "I can take care of identifying the Tryton Kingdom or Senova Empire."

Adhitte listened to their offer well. However, before speaking, someone interrupted them.

"Good evening everyone! I apologize for being out of touch. However, I bring good news with a suitable identity for Lady Adhitte."
