Hewitt and the Fire Man both knew it clearly.
Neither of the two Odins was the resurrected god, but they knew many secrets that Hewitt and the Fire Man did not, perfectly replicating Odin's persona and spirit, though their existence was not the work of Hewitt and the Fire Man.
It was Odin's lingering aura, flowing from him just like rain from a cloud, the most normal of natural phenomena. Given suitable circumstances, Odin's residual power could distort reality, making "him" seem to be living in the world. But at the end of the day, it was still an illusion, just a manifestation of a small portion of the God of a Thousand Faces' power.
If the real Odin were here, even in a weakened state, but if it was the real deal, things would not be so calm here now. Within three months, two-thirds of the gods in the world would fall, within a year Asgard would once again stand tall in the sky, and within three years all mankind would be Odin's believers.
