Elwood looked at Abbas' corpse, feeling increasingly nauseous and queasy, but when he moved his gaze, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't recall the specifics of the body that had left such a psychological scar on him.

Perhaps it was the creator's mercy, allowing his brain to forget such a horrifying nightmare, or perhaps his mind simply could not fully understand or remember such a grotesque creation.

In order to maintain his sanity, he turned his gaze away from the body after less than ten seconds. He was afraid if he kept looking, he would start retching openly.

Previously, a steadfast police officer, just because he gazed for about two seconds longer at that twisted dark artwork, vomited on site, with his health rapidly deteriorating. He's even now still flat on his bed at home, enduring the torment of fever and nightmares.
