Hewitt handed the silver bracelet back to Inez:
"When does the train arrive?"
Inez glanced up at the massive mechanical clock:
"In just over two hours."
Hewitt put his hands in the pockets of his black coat:
"Then, let's say our goodbyes here."
Inez said somewhat awkwardly:
"Yeah, take care."
Hewitt smiled:
"You should be the one to take care; be safe."
Hewitt didn't engage in small talk, since they had already said their farewells on the way over. He took the girl's black woolen gloves and walked around the new city.
Beside the train station, numerous metal wires hung high above the streets, with countless overlapping and chaotic rail tracks on the ground. The sixteen-passenger tram system was the city's public transportation hub.
