Desiree's eyes widened. He initially thought that the Frost Blood Replacer was adept at close combat abilities. So, when Hewitt took a step forward, he naturally thought that Hewitt wanted to get close to him and engage in a close-quarter fight.
When Hewitt revealed his ice control ability, he still maintained his forward movement. Desiree subconsciously thought that the opponent's ability was only to create an ice layer on their body's surface, disregarding the possibility that he could remotely control elements.
But if that were the case, why would Hewitt still move towards him? He had never heard of charging having any effect on casting magic.
A roughly two-meter-wide, coarse-looking Frost Giant snake broke through the bricks and burst from the ground behind Hewitt, easily dispersing the wind elements around him.
