Hela received Lancelot's gift.
She stood amidst the crowd of people, and Lancelot and the strange man had disappeared from her sight, as if they had never been there.
Their presence was so faint and their departure was so quick that no one but Hela noticed them. Even for Hela, only the box in her hand could prove that they were not her hallucinations.
It was there that Hela slowly opened the box.
As the lid was lifted, the contents appeared clearly before Hela's eyes.
A red rose ring, with exquisite silver leaves and scattered diamonds hugging the central clear and dazzling red gem. Only a true nobleman wearing this ring would not appear vulgar.
Hela blinked.
There was a very subtle flow of magic within it. An ordinary human wizard might not even be able to detect its existence, but Hela could change the corner of her eye into other races and collaborate with her brain and soul in an unnatural way.
