Quite an interesting experience.
Kerry lost her sense of direction. In reality, she could manipulate physical laws, and in the chaotic Behind-the-scenes Dimension, she could easily adapt.
But this black ocean was different. It blocked out both reality and the Behind-the-scenes Dimension, keeping the lives of both worlds peaceful and safe.
Kerry felt like she was swimming in dirty muddy water. Although there was no real stench, Kerry instinctively wanted to leave this murky sea of corruption.
No wonder both worlds had kept it out. It was like a cesspool on a non-physical level, filled everywhere with toxic waste. Even Kerry found it difficult to make progress there.
Thankfully, she had thoroughly read the books of the Andes people about the Void of Black. They must have been a great civilization, otherwise they couldn't have understood this Forbidden Land so well.
