Gavin closed his eyes and asked:
"What did you encounter?"
Lei glanced at the bedroom. Gavin's wife Rigelle had taken the children into their room, while she herself had gone into the couple's bedroom.
Though the lady seemed to have avoided the conversation, she left a gap in the door, as if to tell the people outside something.
Lei remembered Gavin's story with her.
The story had many versions, but some elements remained constant throughout, such as the handsome knight and the ugly monster lady.
The story began with King Arthur encountering a major difficulty, and they knew of an ugly witch who could help them.
So Gavin and King Arthur found her, and she agreed, only if King Arthur satisfied her condition.
Have Gavin marry her.
King Arthur refused, but Gavin agreed, and so the contract was fulfilled, and the two held a wedding after King Arthur solved the problem.
