Kerry returned to Lei's home.
Then she realized that the purpose of the strange man stopping her was likely due to the scene before her.
Lei also left a note for her, telling her not to worry. She had left with a kind man named Bedwell, who had a way to cure the illness in her body.
Kerry sighed.
Why couldn't Lei wait for her to come back before leaving? But then again, that's just how Lei was. Even though she seemed weak and delicate, she actually had her own opinions and judgments and would make decisions according to her own thoughts.
But then again, Lei had been living alone for so many years. Although Kerry often wanted to take care of Lei because of her physical condition and gentle demeanor, if Lei really needed others' help so much, she might not have made it to this age.
