Cyril followed Lamont to the back mountain.
The teacher wanted to have a private chat with him.
Cyril looked very calm:
"Teacher Lamont, are you a wizard?"
Lamont patiently answered his student's question:
"You're a good student, and you should know the characteristics of a wizard. How could I possibly be one of those hooded freaks hiding in Worton Tower, although I do like wearing robes."
Cyril said:
"Teacher Lamont, do you know about the death of Teacher Rosa?"
Lamont admitted:
"Of course, I know. Not only the news of Teacher Rosa's death, but also the time, cause, and her feelings before her death are clear to me."
Cyril clenched his fists.
To him, Lamont's words were akin to indirectly admitting that he killed Teacher Rosa.
Based on his previous behavior, it's possible that Lamont believed that nothing could be done to harm him even if Cyril knew all this, and he was obviously not a fool.
So, Cyril couldn't really defend his family's honor.
