Veronica followed Hewitt into the basement.
She looked around excitedly at the dim but clean place, filled with ancient-looking, mysterious weapons and tools hanging on the walls and stored in cabinets. The styles of most items appeared to be several centuries old, perhaps even from a more distant era.
Hewitt watched Veronica curiously poking her head around like a small rodent and said:
"These are just some small collections. If you see something you want, just let me know and I'll see if it's suitable to give as a token of appreciation, considering you're helping me with this task."
Veronica shook her head repeatedly:
"I don't need any reward."
Hewitt said:
"This wouldn't really count as a reward, just a little gift. Compared to the power of opening the Underworld Gate, these things are like toys."
Veronica looked around and couldn't help but let her eyes light up when she saw some skeletal specimens and sinister-looking weapons:
"Aren't these very dangerous?"
