A sudden female voice interrupted their conversation:
"Hewitt!"
Hewitt turned his head, and Nellie was looking at him with surprise.
He glanced over at Rebecca who had a dark expression on her face. The two seats beside her were empty, and Jimmy was nowhere to be found.
Nellie repeated Cyril's question:
"Hewitt, is anyone sitting here?"
Hewitt replied:
"No, but don't you need to be with your mother?"
Nellie sat down in the seat one away from Hewitt:
"I convinced her; she's understanding."
Hewitt looked at Rebecca again, confirmed her expression was particularly unfriendly, and turned his attention back to Nellie:
"Cyril, this is Miss Nellie Leicester, Jimmy's sister. Nellie, this is Cyril Avalon."
Cyril Avalon bowed slightly:
"Nice to meet you, Miss Nellie."
Nellie replied:
"Just call me Nellie, 'Miss' sounds too old. Speaking of which, do you know my brother?"
Cyril tactfully said:
"We go to the same school."
