Hewitt held the information that Latona had sent over in his hand.
She had scribbled a few hurried lines on it.
She didn't know where Garrett was, but he wasn't in the institute, she was already under suspicion but there was no immediate danger.
Hewitt flicked through the documents.
"Shattered World, Dark Territory."
These words described the Behind-the-scenes World, a place Garrett once attempted to steal power from.
This was the price of ignorance. If it was just exploration, the worst-case scenario would be to be eternally stuck there, the Behind-the-scenes World would select its inhabitants this way.
But these scientists, in their ignorance and curiosity, stepped carelessly into this unknown and dangerous realm, and even the leader of the organization personally entered it.
