Hewitt had been in the study for two full days.
Hela quietly opened the door and placed a plate with chicken sausages and fried eggs on the table.
"You don't have to cook for me specifically." Hewitt had mentioned several times, telling Hela that his body didn't need nutrients to function.
The girl shook her head:
"I'm used to it."
Hewitt patted Hela's head and suddenly noticed that the food on the table was exactly the same as what he had made when he first met Hela.
Hewitt had never been good at dealing with children, although Hela was a well-behaved and sensible girl, he often wondered if he had taken on the responsibility of an elder and a demon hunter.
Just like the demon hunter who had found him back then.
Hewitt knew that for a child, the best life was definitely not being restricted like this. Freedom is secondary; the key is to shape a well-rounded personality by interacting with children of the same age.
