Hewitt and Kerry sat in one of the two sedan cars owned by the police station, heading to the crime scene with Elwood.
Dozens of police officers patrolled the area, not allowing any citizens to enter.
Even if the victim was a student from Aaron University, the number of police officers present seemed a bit excessive and "grand."
Elwood warned them in advance:
"Let me say it one last time, the appearance of the deceased is shocking, even for me, it took a long time to forget the horror. Miss Kerry, you don't need to go in, and Professor Hewitt, you need to be mentally prepared."
Kerry still insisted on entering the crime scene:
"As an archaeology researcher, I have seen many things that ordinary people find hard to accept."
Hewitt also indicated to Elwood with his eyes that he was prepared.
Elwood shook his head helplessly:
"Gentlemen and ladies, let us face the hell together then."
They entered the crime scene.
