In Tufate City, near the Adventurer Association, sat Bartlett in a pub called 'Snow Mountain's Milk' with his newly hired guide, Nulridge, listening to the latter introduce some points to pay attention to on the journey through the desert.
It's worth mentioning that the employment relationship was not initiated by Bartlett, the employer, but by Nulridge selecting our Barbarian adventurer. In truth, Bartlett had been reluctant to hire this thin old man who was already eighty-four. Although Nulridge seemed to be in great spirits, his tone was calm and powerful, he was still in his twilight years and the desert environment was far more challenging than other terrains. Even without attacks from bandits and monsters, the Barbarian worried Nulridge wouldn't be able to bear even half of the journey.
However, our Barbarian had no other choice. The old man sitting in front of him was the only person suitable and willing to accept the guide task he had met in the past few days.
