Night fell, and one after another, winding vine-shaped plants broke through the ground from the edge of the path. These plants spread multiple small, winding tendrils to both sides, each ending with a spherical fruit resembling a pearl.
The fruit emanated a soft, vaporous glow, casting the City of Elves into an illusionary dreamlike state.
Similar luminescent plants could be found in the Foggy Forest, only their glow was not as vivid as that of the Elf Holy Land. Bartlett reached out, gingerly touching the nearest spherical fruit, wondering whether it would continue to glow if he picked it off.
About fifteen minutes later, Bartlett finally saw the young magician step out of the grand palace at the end of the road. Alongside the magician were several Elf Guards, clad in golden green armor. The young magician politely acknowledged them with a nod and a waved hand, evidently declining something, before he floated alone towards the Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree.
