Our Barbarian Gladiator and the melancholic Vampire began their battle after a brief exchange of taunts (with Bartlett being the main target). However, before we continue, let us press the 'pause' button and take a moment to introduce Bartlett's newly acquired weapon and armor.
Both items were extraordinary, and Bartlett fully appraised them while resting in the Waiting Hall. The broadsword was called "Irankus's Twin Blade," and was obtained by trading the full-body armor of a Centaur Warrior with the Thorn Devil "Sage."
The Centaur Warrior's armor was also of great value, made with a large amount of fine gold and offering strong defense (he died by suffocation after Bartlett jumped on his back and strangled him). This was the reason the blacksmith was willing to exchange the sword for it.
