If possible, Bartlett really wanted to eliminate the incessant voice above first. Even if the owner of that voice might be a terrifying Abyssal Demon, it couldn't stop him from thinking this way.

The Minotaur's Long-Handled Cleaver came at him again, and after familiarizing himself with his opponent's attack pattern, Bartlett didn't advance or retreat, but charged directly towards the enemy. At the moment the cleaver was about to reach him, Bartlett narrowly dodged it by sidestepping. Then he successfully deceived the Minotaur, slashing diagonally across its abdomen with his axe.
With a miserable 'moo', a huge gash was torn open in the Minotaur's abdomen. Blood spurted from the wound, splashing all over Bartlett, and a bit of the entrails slid out, making the scene quite gruesome.
